Weddings are supposed to feel magical for everyone involved. Fortunately for the bride, Disney wants to help add a special touch to that special day. Disney has teamed up with Allure Bridals to design wedding gowns inspired by your favorite Disney princesses, as first reported on by The New York Post. The Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Collection consists of 16 dresses, each with a silhouette and details inspired by notable Disney princesses. For example, “The Little Mermaid” dress incorporates a mermaid cut with a shimmering chiffon base at the knees. “The Princess and the Frog” dress includes hand-beaded bayou vines wrapped up the base of the dress. Disney and Allure Bridals have only released a few of the concept drawings for the planned collection, which you can take a look at below:
According to Allure’s press release, the CEO Kelly Crum stated, ““So many brides grow up admiring their favorite Disney Princess characters and are inspired by their journeys, gowns and stories of the classic films.”
Eager brides-to-be will have to wait a little bit longer, as Allure Bridals will debut the collection during the New York Bridal Fashion Week in April 2020, where they will then be sold in bridal stores based in New York and Toronto. Of the 16 total styles, the nine standard dresses will range in price from $1,200 to $2,500. Each dress will also be available in sizes 0 to 30.
For those looking for an upgraded experience, Allure is also designing the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Platinum Collection, with even more exorbitantly detailed dress. The seven styles in this collection will range in price from $3,500 to $10,000. Kleinfeld Bridal, located in New York City and Toronto, will exclusively sell these platinum outfits.
There are still many Disney princesses with their designs heavily under wraps, including Aurora, Jasmine, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Snow White, and Pocahontas that will be revealed quite soon.
Surely a Disney princess-themed bridal gown could prompt a number of of Disney-inspired decorations and themes for a couple’s wedding. It seems like it would be up to the groom to find an outfit suitable for a Disney prince. For those die-hard Disney fans ready to say “I do”, this seems like the perfect way to show off your passions in a classy way.
