The Twitterverse is in shambles with the latest addition to Captain America's face...
Chris Evans introduced something new to the world and people aren’t exactly sure how to react to it.
Perhaps better known as Captain America or your real boyfriend, Evans displayed his latest facial accessory and the world isn’t exactly sure how they feel about it. With 95 percent of the female population (including myself) already watching him, they were bound to have some thoughts when he introduced his handlebar mustache. Well, Reggie Ugwu was actually the first person to introduce the photo (and several others) with his latest piece for The New York Times.
Mr. Mustache made an appearance due to Evans’ latest role in a play called Lobby Hero alongside Michael Cera, Brian Tyree Henry, and Bel Powley. The play follows four people’s involvement in a murder investigation. It takes place in, you guessed it, a hotel lobby.
However, the Twitterverse pretty much collapsed in on itself when Evans’ latest look made its rounds on the social media site. Everyone seemed to be split down the middle, with some on board with “pornstache” Chris (which, let’s be real, isn’t exactly a lie) while others were already armed with a razor and ready to get rid of it.

Blogger Jamie Broadnax was quick to share her support for Evans’ latest move. Broadnax is the mastermind behind the blog Black Girl Nerds, a blog that encourages women to share their opinions about nerdy things. Broadnax stated that the blog is not meant to be a “derogatory nor is it racially biased. It is a term of endearment to all women like me who have been attached to a stigma that is not an accurate representation of my personality or my idiosyncratic behaviors.” She started the project in 2012.
Others wasted no time in bashing Evans’ mustache (how dare they).
Regardless of where you stand on Evans’ latest appearance, it’s time to come to terms with the reality that Captain America comes with a mustache. Don’t worry, you’ll live.
