Many people are savvy about popular subreddits on the site Reddit, like AskReddit and AMA, that let the world answer any and every question one could ever seek to ask.
Well according to Yahoo! Lifestyle, one girl, Callie Ross-Smith went to the subreddit Skincare Addiction to ask what the best solution for her brother with autism’s skin. She showed how the medicine her brother was taking caused his entire face to breakout.
Reddit came in with full force, thankfully, on all types of tips and tricks for Callie to use for her little brother. The most common included gental facial wipes from CeraVe to Simple.
Callie couldn’t believe the huge support she received from Reddit and talked about how the internet helped where dermatologists couldn’t.
“I went to SCA because the traditional approach of a dermatologist just wasn’t going to cut it with my brother’s skin and his special needs,” Callie told Yahoo! “In almost all cases, a dermatologist is a great person to turn to to help with severe acne, but for my brother the traditional methods of fighting acne such as topicals just weren’t working.”
She updated everyone with her brother’s new facial routine and thanked the community for paying attention to her brother with special needs.
It was one of those rare moments where the Internet gave us hope rather than show us trolls and horror.
