Celebrities posted their most awkward photos, in the early teens, in an effort to raise money for Puerto Rico hurricane relief.
Ever since Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico, people have lost everything they own, and in some cases, have lost loved ones.
On an episode of ‘The Late Show’, TV host -Stephen Colbert, and actor- Nick Kroll, have teamed together in creating a campaign to encourage people to donate to Puerto Rico. But their campaign has a twist to it.
The social media campaign is called #PuberMe. For every celebrity who posted a photo of themselves as an awkward 13-year-old and included the hashtags #PuertoRicoRelief and #PuberMe, Stephen Colbert said he would donate $1,000 (per photo). The money was donated from Colbert’s charity, Americone Dream Fund, to help Puerto Rico’s hurricane relief. Nick Kroll said he would match the amount to Colbert. They ended up raising $1 Million Dollars for Puerto Rico!
Celebrities took to Twitter to share their photos, such as Jimmy Fallon, Lena Dunham, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and more.
