Have you ever wondered what you would look like with short hair? Before you take a huge risk and chop it all off, this one simple step could prove whether you would look fab or drab with that pixie cut you’ve been dying to try. Giles Robinson, a senior stylist at John Frieda Salons UK, has come up with a technique that can tell you just that.
To figure out your short hair future (before it’s too late), grab a pencil and ruler. Place the pencil under your chin horizontally and the ruler under your ear vertically. From there measure the height of where the pencil and ruler intersect. If the intersection is less than 2.25 inches you would like fabulous with that pixie cut. However, if the intersection is greater than 2.25 inches, longer hair will best flatter your face shape. Of course there may be some exceptions as there are with most rules, and you can do whatever you want with your locks. But hopefully this rule with give you a little peace of mind to go short in confidence!
