14 Tips, Tricks, And Hacks For Flawless Eyebrows

By Minq Team

If you haven't noticed, eyebrows are quickly becoming one of the biggest and most noticed beauty areas of our time. From big-browed beauties like Cara Delevingne to the thin-browed elegance of Charlize Theron, flawless eyebrows are all around. To get those bombshell brows, just try a few easy tips!

Don’t Look Too Closely

A lot of people will lean in very close to the mirror when working on their eyebrows, but this can actually wind up not giving you the look you wanted. Stay at least a foot away from the mirror while you’re doing your brows to give yourself a better perspective, then lean in at the end to outline.

Arch Trick

Use the most pigment intensity on the arch of your brows when you’re defining them. This is an easy way to make your brows appear more lifted and you more youthful.

DIY Brow Serum

To give your brows more healthy texture without making a trip to the store, just use castor oil. Use a funnel to pour the oil into an empty mascara bottle and use the clean mascara wand to apply it to your brows and lashes.

Tweezing Tips

Tweezing is the preferable form of eyebrow maintenance since it offers more precision than waxing. Before you tweeze, press a warm washcloth to your brows to relax the follicles. Once you’re done, hold an ice pack to the area to help fight inflammation.

Don’t Worry About Matching Exactly

Your eyebrows are sisters, not twins, so don’t get too concerned with them looking exactly the same. Many girls use a hair-for-hair strategy, where they plauck a hair from one brow and then try to match it in the other. This could leave you with over-tweezed brows.

Highlighting Hack

One swipe of a highlighting pen can easily take you brows from good to great. Line directly beneath your eyebrows on your brow bone and then blend with your finger. This will instantly make your brows appear more defined and arched.

Get Bold Brows Easily

To get the look of thick, bold eyebrows super easily, all you need is a brow brush, brown eye shadow, and some water. Dip the brush in water and then put it in the brown eye shadow. Use it to fill in your eyebrows for a bold and natural look.

Painless Plucks

Although tweezing should only feel like a tiny pinprick, it can be painful for some. If plucking is getting too painful for you, try dabbing a numbing gel like Orajel-Baby Teething Pain Medicine onto the area before you tweeze.

Know The Shape You Want

Before you start trimming your eyebrows, use a creamy brow pencil to outline the shape you want them to be. Then, carefully remove the hairs that fall outside of that line.

How Hair Color Translates

A pencil or powder should be used to color in any sparse spots on your brows. Brunettes should use a color that is a shade or two lighter than their hair color; lighter blondes should look for golden tones; darker blondes for taupe colors; and redheads should reach for warm browns.

Consider Tinting

If adding definition with a pencil or powder each morning is taking too much of your time, then you can consider getting your eyebrows tinted. Although the dyeing process can be done at home, you should enlist the help of a hair specialist. They will likely use a vegetable oil dye that lasts for about 3 weeks.

Think Face Shape

You should consider the shape of your face when deciding which eyebrow shape you should go for. A square face can be softened by a softly rounded brow, while rounder faces should seek definition with angular brows and high arches.

On The Nose

Did you know your eyebrows can help you get a thinner-looking nose? The closer the inner corner of your eyebrows get to your nose, the thinner your nose will appear.

Spooning

If you need help filling in your brows, just grab a spoon. Hold the spoon over your eye and try to shape the curviture to the brow shape you want, then use your pencil or powder with confidence.
