Despite intense speculation from fans and the amateur code-breakers of the internet, Kylie Jenner has revealed her newborn daughter's name to be Stormi.
Jenner announced the name via Instagram, captioning a photo of the newborn baby girl clutching her mama's finger with the name and a playful angel emoji. Though we haven't been treated to a full photo of the newest Kardashian-Jenner baby just yet, the Instagram pic does give us a view of the lower half of the baby's face, as well as a detailed and up-close image of the baby's tiny hand and little fingers!
Kylie's mother Kris Jenner confirmed the name with an Instagram post of her own, where she introduced Stormi as her "precious granddaughter" and also posted the same photo of the baby lying down, dressed up in pink to match Kylie's soft pink nails.
Stormi, the first child of Kylie Jenner and rapper Travis Scott, was born on February 1st, after months of internet speculation that the reality TV star was pregnant. For months Jenner seemed to be avoiding the media, only allowing photographs of herself in which her stomach was covered to be released. On February 4th, Jenner announced that she had given birth to a daughter just days before, explaining, "I'm sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you're used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world."
Since that time, those trying to determine the name of the baby had concluded that Jenner and Scott must have decided on a name related to butterflies - like Mariposa or Posie -pointing to butterfly references in the pregnancy announcement video and Kris Jenner's recent promotion of a lip color called "Posie K". But Stormi has officially come out of her cocoon, and we welcome her to the world.
