Most people walk out of Target with some unnecessary items, but this woman walked out with a newborn son!
Earlier this week a woman literally had her child at the entrance of her local Target.
Out of all the places in the world to be born, Target is definitely a place to remember!
Tanya St. Preux, was just out and about at her local Target, in Georgia, getting some shopping done. Then all of a sudden, Tanya went into labor!
As fate would have it, an off-duty nurse, Caris Lockwood, was also at the same Target at the same time that Tanya went into labor. And the best part is that Lockwood specializes in labor and delivery at the Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
According to an interview with WPTV, it was actually Caris’s mother who noticed Tanya not looking so good and asked if her daughter could help her out.
So right as Tanya was about to give birth to her child in the middle of the store, Caris came to the rescue and helped Tanya out!
It’s A Boy!
The mother gave birth to her fourth child right in front of the store’s entrance! (Talk about a surprise to incoming shoppers).
Tanya’s healthy baby boy, Maleek, came into the world on September 25th, 2017.
In a statement to Piedmont Healthcare, Tanya said: “Caris was God-sent and amazing. She was sweet and caring and exceeded everyone’s expectations. She went way over far and beyond!”
What an amazing story of strangers helping strangers!
Congratulations to Tanya and her baby boy and well-done to nurse, Caris Lockwood!
