WE TV’s reality series Extreme Love proves that anyone with any kink is capable of finding love and companionship…even if you believe you’re a vampire.
On a recent episode, viewers are introduced to Logan and Daley South, a polyamorous couple from Austin, Texas who self-identify as “vampires.” They both claim they first experienced a thirst for blood during puberty. Logan and Daley’s thirst for blood is quenched roughly once a month thanks to their “donor,” Ilona, who is also their live-in girlfriend.
“I don’t like the way blood tastes. I find it inconvenient to have to do regularly,” Daley says. “I’m someone that needs it, but I’m not a big fan of it.” Logan, however, finds the act of drinking blood to be very erotic.
When Logan and Daley consume Ilona’s blood, they don’t bite into her neck like you would see in a vampire movie. Instead, they prick Ilona’s finger with a lancet, just like you would to draw a blood sample, and suck the blood from her fingers. With this method, “you get just the right amount of blood without causing too much overflow.”
Yum?
The couple stressed that it’s important to know your donor. For safety reasons, Ilona gets checked for blood-borne illnesses every six months.
As if drinking blood wasn’t strange enough, Logan and Daley also avoid sunlight, wear fangs, and colored contacts. They are also the King and Queen of the Vampire Court of Austin.
Logan says, “Being a vampire isn’t something that you can just choose. It is something you are born with. It is something that is a part of you.”
