Trendsetters come and go in the world of style, but the Duchess of Cambridge has proven herself to be a fashion icon for years now. Kate Middleton has a knack for finding the perfect outfit for any occasion and never fails to look classy, put together, and absolutely radiant.

Lady In Red

When visiting New Zealand on April 7, 2014, the Duchess of Cambridge made a bold statement in her strikingly red Catherine Walker coat. Eight-month-old Prince George proved to be the best accessory, as Kate disembarked the plane with her baby in hand, to be greeted by traditional Maori dancers.

Kiss Me, I’m Irish

Middleton certainly dressed festively on St. Patrick’s Day in a chic emerald green Hobbs coat, which she matched to her hat and shoes. A large corsage of shamrocks was the perfect touch for her visit to the Irish Guards for a parade in southern England.

Blue Valentine

Instead of the traditional red and pink, the royal mommy donned a bright blue LK Bennet dress for Valentine’s Day. Middleton spent the day at Northolt High School in Ealing. A bouquet of multi-colored flowers completed the look, and told onlookers that she did, indeed, remember the romantic holiday.

Glitz And Glamour

For her first official appearance of 2014, which was at the National Portrait Gala in London on February 11, Middleton went all out with a floor-length Jenny Packham navy gown. Her sparkling necklace, which is a loan from the Queen herself, is the perfect accessory.

Pretty In Plaid

On Christmas, Middleton stunned in her tartan Alexander McQueen coat. Her forest green hat with a playful bow was a festive pairing for the outfit.

Cream Of The Crop

Princess or movie star!? Middleton sashayed down the red carpet for the “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” premiere in a breathtaking cream evening gown designed by Roland Mouret Lombarde. The classy dress set the duchess back a cool 1,000 pounds.

The Wind Blue

Middleton was the pinnacle of stylish in her Orla Kiely skirt and matching MaxMara jacket with blue suede pumps at an anti-cyberbullying forum held by the London charity Place2Be. Despite the windy weather, Kate didn’t have a hair out of place.

A Favorite Outfit

Maybe to remind us that she is, after all, just a normal girl, Middleton is known to rock the same outfits on more than one occasion. This chocolate patterned Orla Kiely dress paired with brown tights and ankle boots is one of her favorites. She’s worn it on a charity visit to the Only Connect offices in London, and earlier on a visit to the Oxford Spires Academy.

Beautiful In Black

The duchess donned a black chiffon Jenny Packham gown for a gala dinner in London on October 24, 2013. The event, sponsored by the nonprofit group 100 Women in Hedge Funds, benefitted the charity Action on Addiction.

Dressed Down Duchess

Even in jeans, Middleton stuns. The princess rocked a simple, button-down blouse, sneakers, and a cardigan for a day on the town in West London on October 25, 2013. Kate proved she was a natural beauty by pulling her hair back into a ponytail and keeping her makeup minimal.

Fit For A McQueen

Middleton pulled out all the stops for Prince George’s christening. The duchess glowed in a frilly ivory Alexander McQueen frock with a matching hat. Of course, three-month-old George stole the show, however, in his own ivory christening robe that dates back to 1841.

Sporty Style

During a trip to the SportsAid Athlete Workshop on October 17, 2013, Kate did more than just smile and wave. Decked out in J Brand leggings, a Smythe blazer, and teetering wedges, the Duchess of Cambridge looked stylish while hitting around some volleyballs.

It’s Always Sunny

Britain’s it-girl was 7 months pregnant when she donned a bright yellow Emilia Wickstead jacket and cream-colored pumps and ornate hat. The radiant outfit was the perfect piece for the Queen’s annual garden party at Buckingham Palace on May 22, 2013.

A Vision In Violet

Will and Kate went Hollywood at the BAFTA Brits to Watch event in Los Angeles. Kate looked ethereal in her lilac pleated chiffon gown designed by Alexander McQueen and Jimmy Choo sandals. Of course, her husband suited up as well for the occasion.

Blushing Bride

You knew this was coming! Kate’s wedding dress designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen will go down in history for it’s beauty and sophistication. The white gown featured a plunging yet modest neckline and long lace sleeves. A sparkling tiara covered by her veil was the perfect accent.
