12 Fashion Trends to Look Forward to in 2015

By Minq Team

2014 was a great year for fashion; cropped everything, peplum, and monochromes ruled the runway and the street! Will 2015 bring the same fashion finesse? Check out these up-and-coming trends and be the judge.

The Babydoll Dress

Don't worry. This silhouette is getting a makeover for 2015. Instead of the dress you remember with an empire waist, the new babydoll has no waist and flares out, giving you a sleek, slim look.

Small Prints

We're saying goodbye to the popular 2014 trend, big pop art prints, but we are saying hello to a new type of print, candy-colored small, repeating prints. This style was popular in the 80's due to an interior design team known as the Memphis Group. Now these prints are taking over the fashion industry.

Flared Pants

Is 2015 the new 70's? It's a little early to tell, but we do know that flare pants are back and better than ever. Add some flares to your outfit for a look that is cool, chill, but still classy.

Gladiator Sandals

Whether you are trying to make a major statement with knee-high gladiators or are looking for something a little low key, you will see loads of gladiator sandals in 2015. So lace Ôem up ladies and get going!

Clean Denim

2014 was the year for distressed, acid-washed jeans. Well, 2015 has different plans for its denim. Introducing clean, dark denim! These jeans aren't just for Casual Fridays. They are as sharp and chic as a pair of trousers.

Bohemian Everything

So about that 70's thing, you will be seeing lots of loose, flowy, and dramatic pieces this year thanks to the revival of the bohemian trend. But really, who's complaining?

Gingham

Our favorite picnic table print was given a huge upgrade. Look for pastels that are less dramatic and have more of a charming effect, instead of contrasting colors.

Suede

Suede is the new leather. From trench coats to boots, cropped jackets to skirts, 2015 can't get enough of this warm, fuzzy material. If this is a style you are going to rock this year, be sure to rain proof your pieces.

Overalls

We aren't over overalls just yet! People are continuing to embrace the playful and cool look. Whether you love it or you hate it, this trend is sticking around for 2015.

Ponchos

When Burberry closed the 2014 runway with a set of wrapped blanket coats, we knew ponchos were coming back, and they were going to be big. Fashionistas are already proving us right by dawning poncho wraps with a boho twist.

Red on Red on Red

Much to our surprise monochromatic red seems to be picking up speed in the fashion world. 2015 is the year to be daring and take chances! So find all your red pieces and give it a go!

Track Star

Give your heels are much deserved break. Sneakers are the new norm and our piggies couldn't be happier. Your kicks aren't just for the gym anymore. Add them to a chic shirt or flowery dress for a look that will impress.
