It’s been a widely discussed topic for years that diversity, or more specifically, lack thereof, has been an issue in the fashion industry. Yet, somehow not much has been done. However, recently an awesome new Instagram account, More Models of Color, has emerged to take a stand. Some sites such as Dazed Digital and Who What Wear have already noticed this account, and chimed in with positive sentiments. These sites state that it’s about time we get rid of the idea that European features are the epitome of beauty. All girls deserve to see themselves portrayed in the fashion industry. We could not agree more strongly.

More Models of Color does exactly this. In fact, not only does it portray well known models of color, but it also portrays lesser knows models including Pooja Mor and Amelia Rami. This Instagram account could very well spark a greater movement for change in the fashion industry.
