As a little girl, it always seemed you went to your mom for all your beauty, clothes and boys needs. You went to your dad for comfort at night, so he could kill the monsters under the bed and to teach you all about sports. You never thought to ask your dad to do your hair for school and you knew, even if he tried, it would turn into a bigger mess than it already was. In some cases however, little girls go to their dads for all their needs and this includes their hair too. And while a few are good at doing hair, most are absolutely awful (sorry dads). One single dad from Daytona, Florida wanted to help out the fellow dads with some beneficial beauty tips.
Philippe Morgese first taught himself how to do is own daughter’s hair after becoming a single dad. He then created a class for dads and their daughters in which the dads how to style their little girls’ hair. From simple brushing to the perfect top knot, the class teaches it all. The dads and daughters received little gift bags as well for a job well done!
The goal of the class was to give fathers and daughters a chance to bond as well as teach dads the ins and outs of hairstyles. Morgese said the first class was a great success. Since the first class went so well, Morgese plans to host many more classes for dads to learn hairstyling tips. However, he wants to keep the classes small so the dads get more one-on-one time. Who knows, these dads may be creating luscious curls and complicated fish tail braids before you know it!
