Everyone knows fall is the season of plaid. In fact, fall 2015 runways were literally bursting with plaid, from Altuzarra blazers to Michael Kors wide-leg trousers. Whenever we’re looking to incorporate a trend into our wardrobe or style, one of the easiest ways is always through accessories or nails. Follow these 6 easy steps to create your own preppy fall plaid nail art.
Begin by painting nails with a bright red polish. Next, paint four thick black lines in a grid on the nail. After, use a slightly shear dark red polish to paint over the black lines. Now, use the same red color to paint three horizontal striped across the top, middle, and bottom of the nail (in between the black horizontal lines). Finally, add an accent with a gold stripe by painting a thin line down and a line across to complete the look. Finish with a layer of topcoat and you’re done!
