Contouring is all the rage right now and for good reason. Using shadow and light, it helps showcase the cheekbones making a face appear more sculpted. We’ve all tried to achieve this look, both successfully and unsuccessfully, by watching 20-minute-long YouTube tutorials that call for 13 different super expensive products. Enough is enough. Contouring doesn’t have to be such a challenge! NYFW makeup artists James Kaliardos can contour models’ faces with 1 product in 10 seconds. Really!
He uses NARS’ Dual Intensity Blush in Craving, but any highlighter/bronzer duo will work. Sweep an angled brush through the darker color then mix with the highlighting color. Apply it quickly and lightly along your cheekbone in back-and-forth strokes. Do not get too close to the nose. Then brush up towards the temples. It might take some practice to nail this look in 10 seconds but it definitely can be done!
