In today’s day and age we rely heavily on technology. In fact, we don’t dare to leave the house without at least one piece of technology. From the latest smartphones to the best Mac computer, we have to have some piece of technology on us at all times. If not, we’ll die. Okay, maybe that’s a stretch, but for some, it might seem like we’re dying on the inside without our precious phone or computer. With our technological generation also comes wearable technology too! From Fitbits to Google Glass, there’s a ton of products out there. It seems technology and the people who are creating these products are trying to make things as easy as possible for us.
The wearable technology market just got a little bit bigger too. Rihanna’s favorite designer, Adam Selman, is working with MasterCard to create pieces of clothing and accessories that will allow you to pay for things without a credit card. He is creating a dress that comes in two patterns, a pair of gloves, earrings and a clutch that all have a mobile payment chip embedded in the seams! What?! That is crazy!!

Adam Selman’s sketches
Selman wanted to “push boundaries” with his new designs. The dress is empire-waisted with a flowing bow that holds the chip. The gloves are bright yellow and black checkered with the chip at the back of the hand. He even came up with a pair of sunglasses that play on the cat-eye shape. The sunglasses have the chip on the side of the frames.
Right now there is no word on where the clothing and accessory items will be sold or how much these revolutionary items will cost, but it is said that they will come out in the second half of 2016. What do you think of this new technology? Would you wear these clothing and accessory items or would you rather stick to the old fashioned credit card?
