Just like Barbie, the Bratz dolls are getting a makeover too, or as it should be called, a make-under. Sonia Singh has taken on this make-under challenge and has been showing her work on her Tumblr as Tree Change Dolls. She first buys the scantily clad Bratz dolls with heavy makeup from a store, then goes about her creative make-under. She restyles their hair, makes them new clothes, paints them new faces and even switches their feet to look more realistic.

Singh plans to set up a shop on Etsy where she will sell a line of these dolls. For now, two of the Tree Change Dolls are being sold on eBay. One of them was sold for around $266! But, Singh isn’t keeping all of the profit for herself. Twenty percent of the money goes to International Women’s Development Agency. These dolls are just another push for changing beauty standards by showing a realistic doll that young girls can actually aspire to be like.
