It's supposed to be a special day, but some weirdos turn it into a straight-up nightmare. These people thought a person's wedding was totally cool to let out some immature and downright terrifying tendencies. All in all, it made for some exceptionally wild weddings. They definitely won't be invited to the family reunion. Content has been edited for clarity.
Dad To The Rescue

“My daughter was getting married for her second time. They chose a really small church in a nearby municipality. The groomsmen and I changed into our suits in the downstairs of the church. I was walking her down the aisle, so I had to meet her on the porch in front of the building and wait for someone to open the door. We could hear the beginning of the ceremony through the closed doors. I was jokingly giving my daughter the ‘If you want to leave, the car is right over there’ speech. She still chose to go through with the ceremony of course, and she tightly hugged me. As she hugged me through some teary eyes, I noticed a movement in the corner of the yard in the bushes.
Now, I didn’t have my glasses on, but I recognized the movement. It was a rottweiler! And he was moving across the yard like his but was a rocket! I started pushing her against the door, with her not knowing what was going on at all. I pushed the massive door open with tremendous difficulty. I literally tackled my daughter in order to get us both inside just in time. As the door closed, I heard lots of growling and large thump, followed by repeated thumps. This must have been the dog jumping up the three steps towards the door, hitting the ground of the porch, and sliding down onto the railing. I whispered to a staff member that there was a vicious rottweiler outside that just tried to eat us. My daughter and I walked up to the ceremony, in order to officially walk down the aisle together.
The wedding went off without a hitch and before the crowd started to file out, I got to the door and did a quick walk around. I wasn’t going to announce what happened and cause a concern. I had just enough time to give the staff member stationed there an all clear, and the people started filing out. I came up and started shaking hands as everyone filed out to their cars. I stayed until I had to go back inside for photos. I dropped a word to a couple of the church people, and they immediately went outside. The dog appeared to be long gone, and we happily completed the photos.
We were the way out of the church parking lot when I saw it. Just down the street, standing on the sidewalk, looking up at my wife and I with the evil eye. Right next to the exact route we were taking. I proceeded down the street, slowing down to a crawl in order to pass that evil canine creature. While passing it, I flipped it the bird. I thwarted that malicious thing’s plans to ruin my daughter’s wedding!”
Hide The Evidence!

“As a wedding photographer, I’ve certainly had a fair few, from rude guests to overly amorous wasted guests, all part the course really. The one that really sticks in my mind was a few years ago. As a documentary wedding photographer, I specialize in not only capturing the real, genuine wedding moments as they evolve and happen, but also documenting some of the stories from the day that the wedding couple won’t have seen on the day itself. Anyhow, it was the evening reception of one particular wedding at a grand old hotel, with a fabulous corridor decorated floor to ceiling with mirrors. I noticed a couple walk off down this corridor, so I decided to follow them in the hope of getting some candid shots with lots of reflections going on.
Half-way along the corridor, they stopped and started kissing quite passionately. Because of the angled mirrors, it was a scene with lots of great contrasting reflections, in other words, photographic gold dust! So I fired off a number of frames, then turned and headed back to the main ballroom and the wedding party, not thinking much more about it. Ten minutes later, the groom approached me and discreetly asked me if I could delete the images of the couple kissing I had just taken. I said of course, not a problem but just queried why.
Well, it turns out that the couple weren’t a couple at all. His wife had left the reception earlier due to a headache, and the lady he was ‘with’ was an evening guest. Not long after that, he sheepishly left the reception too. The amorous lady finished the evening making out with the best man! And, yes, I did delete the images.”
Their Special Day Was Especially Ruined

“Many years ago, my buddy had a house that he rented out for all sorts of events. I would go to a lot of events that he hosted. Many of them were weddings and this one turned out to be a doozy. During the after-party, my buddy and I had an amazing time. Chatting with everyone, drinking, smoking, etc. There was this really cute woman that I had eyed a few times and chatted to a little. Through all the drinks, I had forgotten about her for many hours. The entire wedding party ended up downstairs, taking a celebratory shot. I ended up coincidentally right next to her as we cheered and took our shot. A little bit of the drink spilled on my hand as I lifted the glass. She looked at my hand, grabbed my wrist and then proceeded to suck the drink off my two fingers. My instincts kicked in and I knew I needed to find a room for us. We ended up in a bedroom and starting making out, things began getting things into motion.
A few minutes later, I hear a knock on the door. I was worried that it was her dad or family member. I didn’t know who she was or who she was there with. I was a bit uneasy. I answered the door and luckily it was my buddy. He sort of waddled in and saw her sprawled on the bed with her panties off. She did not seem to mind at all. He had a water bottle in his hand and asked if I wanted any. He proceeded to open the bottle and squeeze the bottle so that was water was spilling out. He was definitely out of sorts. There is another knock and the door swings open. My buddy, on the very last second, was able to slip behind the space in-between the door and the wall. He was now completely out of sight and basically left me there to deal with it.
I’m not sure who he was. He didn’t pay much attention to me and pulled her out of the room. This is where things got really crazy. Apparently this girl was the best man’s wife, and a few minutes later I saw her get decked in the face. Then that started a chain of other woman being hit. I don’t know if they tried to stick up for her and they faced intense retaliation for that or what. I saw a smaller woman carrying the laptop they used to DJ, then getting decked in the face, and the laptop smashed onto the driveway. All sorts of fights were breaking out. It quickly turned into a brawl of angry, wasted people of varying sizes and ages. We were highly outnumbered.
The cops ended up being called in and were trying to get in the gate. Then all of a sudden, a police helicopter flew over on top of the house and was shinning its lights in the windows. It went from a friendly wedding party to a helicopter domestic abuse night. After that, The party quickly emptied out, as you can imagine. The morning aftermath was something else. Once we explored the damage, we found random bits of women’s heels, bras, and various bits of torn clothing. Later on in the morning, a few ladies came by to clean up and no one said a word. I’ll never forget that wedding, that’s for sure.”
Risky Nannying

“All of my inappropriate interactions at a wedding were sadly at my older brother’s wedding this past year. My brother’s now mother-in-law forgot a nanny. So while I was a bridesmaid in the wedding, I pretty much became the nanny for all the kids, none of whom were mine. The only two kids I felt semi-obligated to watch were my two nephews, but since all the kids wanted to play together, I became the ‘unofficial nanny’. Everyone wound up leaving their kids with me so they could enjoy my brother’s wedding. One of the other bridesmaid’s sons, whom I was having to watch while his mom got super wasted, put his hands around my neck and acted like he was going to break it. This little troll was only four.
Also, my brother yelled at me for not taking his youngest son to be put down for a nap. I got mad at him and was about to take an Uber back to the hotel, I was ready to give up this bridesmaid status. He treated me like I was my nephew’s mother and their nanny, and I’m not either of those. Like, yeah, it’s your wedding, but he’s YOUR kid and your mother-in-law was boasting about how she had EVERYTHING planned—a nanny included—at LEAST eight months before the wedding date—and EVERYTHING was going to be perfect. She dropped the ball, and ‘didn’t realize it until they were halfway to the venue’, and I was left with about fifteen kids.
The first thing she said to me when she arrived with my nephews? ‘Tiffany, thank GOD you’re here! I don’t have a nanny!’
My sister-in-law didn’t even know about any of it until after my brother jumped my case about not putting my nephew down for his nap around three or four in the afternoon. Also, one of the kids fell on the slide while I was taking care of my nephews. I immediately let the venue owner know that there was a rotten board that the kids could break and hurt themselves on. The little girl went crying to her mom, and her mom got onto me for not watching HER kid that I didn’t even know, was not obligated to watch, and was certainly NOT asked to watch. This was a woman I had NEVER met before.”
She Must Have Been Mortified

“This was my girlfriend’s twin sister’s wedding. Both of them look very identical. My girlfriend told me to meet her in a dressing room for some alone time. She asked me to arrive around six in the evening. I was a little impatient, so I arrived thirty minutes early. I could see that the light was on below the door, as well as the shadow of someone getting ready, so I just assumed that it was my girlfriend. I tested the door to see if it would open, and I quickly sneaked in so no one would see me. I opened to the door to see her pulling a dress off in the changing room and admiring it. Her back was to me. I sneaked up and grabbed her from behind. I told her, ‘I’ll have you in a white dress some day.’
She turns around, and it’s my girlfriend’s sister. She had a horrified look on her face. She was quickly trying to cover herself and completely silent with shock. I immediately bolted out of the dressing room. SO far as I know, the sister has never told anyone, but neither have I. She always blushes when I’m near, or when her wedding gets mentioned.”
Little Spat Gets Ugly Fast

“The most inappropriate thing to happen before my wedding was a fight. As we were decorating the reception hall, a funeral was going on in the exact same church. My mother was the only family who was willing to come to my wedding. My entire set of relatives is composed of people who will not attend any function if anyone else in the family is coming. Anyway, I am not sure what exactly happened, but my bridesmaid and mother got in a screaming match with my husband’s brother’s girlfriend. I asked her if she would please quiet down because of the funeral, which was still going on right next to us. Now she is really ticked. She finally leaves, trying to take a number of random objects with her. Once we finished decorating and go home to get ready, my soon to be brother-in-law comes banging on my door, wanting to have it out over the poor treatment of his girlfriend. Unbeknownst to me, he was also our photographer. Needless to say, it was a horrible day. At the reception, no one there was happy, and they were disappointed that we didn’t offer more and better food and drinks. The only good thing is that we got married and are still happy today.”
Adult Man Babies

It was the end of the reception at our son’s wedding, and almost everyone was on the floor dancing happily. I noticed my nephew, who was sitting alone and clearly waster, and I approached him. I wanted to thank him for coming, but he came back at me with angry comments. I realized this anger was coming from him having too much to drink, but man, it really made my blood boil. Now we have some personal issues within our family, but that didn’t give him the right to talk to me like that! I didn’t want to cause a big scene, so I kept all of my feelings to myself. I simply thanked him again for coming to the wedding, and I just walked away.
Once that was settled, I saw that my brother and another family member had somehow gotten into a fistfight! I tried to separate them both, and my disappointment knew no bounds. They clearly didn’t know how to talk out their feelings, which apparently had been boiling over for quite some time beforehand. All of this might has gone down at my son’s wedding, but almost all of the guests simply kept dancing, not paying any attention whatsoever. Drink all you want, but don’t launch your anger at anyone on the wedding day, it’s so bad for the host. Why these grown men couldn’t simply voice their feelings in a calm and respectful way, I’ll never know.”
No Excuse For This Behavior

“Many years ago, I was a guest at the wedding of one of my best friend’s sister’s wedding. As they are half Italian there were a number of relatives from the Italian side that flew in for the wedding, many of which didn’t speak any English.
There was one amorous young man from this Italian group who took a liking to me. Now I was flattered and danced with him, but soon became disenchanted with his roaming hands and quickly sat down. He then followed me everywhere and wouldn’t leave me alone. I was just trying to get away from him, and it was pretty clear, to the point where others were noticing this pattern of behavior. Sadly, these people just thought that it was funny. It was an outdoor wedding held on the grounds of the bride’s father (more like an estate), and I needed to go outside the tent to find the restroom. I realized that this man had followed me, grabbed me and tried to kiss me passionately. I was trying to pull away and thankfully one of the guests saw him and pulled him off of me. I think at that point, someone who spoke Italian gave him a good scolding, as he left me alone after that.”
Deeply Uncomfortable Event

“It happened long time ago when I was young. I used to be a wedding singer sometimes, and emcee too. It was my side job, apart from being college student. Once, a friend from a local radio station where I worked part-time, asked me to replace him to do this wedding’s emcee and singing duties at once with the organist/keyboardist, a person who often is working with us in this kind of event. There was an urgent family matter he had to attend to, so my friend couldn’t make it. After giving me several details of the event, I went home to change and dress properly for the event, then I went to the venue earlier to have proper preparation beforehand.
Everything went well, but there was something weird about the groom. He kept glancing at me and winking. At first, I responded by smiling politely. But then he did it super often. So I pretended that I didn’t see it. It makes me feel so uncomfortable. The keyboardist noticed that as well and just shook his head. So after the event finished, the bride and groom came to me and the keyboardist to say thank you and shake our hands. The groom again was so bizarre. He shakes my hand in such a weird manner and gives me a strange look. I pulled my hand away immediately. Several minutes later, he asks his best-man to get my name, number and address. What on earth is going on? Of course, I refused to give those things to him. I immediately leave the venue after collecting the payment from the event organizer. I still remember how his weird eyes and expression when he looked at me. Kinda scary, and his behavior on his wedding’s day is unacceptable. May be later in his marriage, his wife will find out just how strange and scary her husband truly is.”
He Learned A Powerful Lesson

“A colleague at work was getting married and invited several of us to his wedding. We were a tight knit group. One of the guys I worked with asked if I would like to share some ‘candy’ with him, and we went out to his car. Now keep in mind, this guy and I had worked together and been good friends for at least 4 years. We had mutual friends and had been out in a group setting several times. It was a very diverse group, and we always had great times. NEVER once was there any impropriety. So anyway we go out to the car, everything is fine and all of a sudden he says, ‘I’ve wanted you so bad for so long, please tell me you’ll go out with me.’
He tries to kiss me. I pushed him away, told him that I loved him dearly as a friend, but I just didn’t have those kinds of feelings for him. Also, I reminded him that I was almost old enough to be his mother. I was at least 15 years OLDER than him. After what seemed like an eternity I finally got out of his grasp. I think he was too wasted to get a really good hold on me. It wasn’t easy, but I finally managed to get out of the car and run back inside. I did all of this in heels, mind you. I headed straight to the bathroom to collect myself and returned to my table. I played it off well, but I was shaken, confused, and completely in shock.
When we returned to work, of course he avoided me like the plague. It was very awkward for a few weeks. He finally went to one of our female friends in our group and told her what happened and asked her for advice. Afterwards, he came to me one day at work and asked if he could speak to me privately. I agreed. No, I wasn’t scared. We went outside and he proceeded to apologize profusely. He said he was very ashamed of himself and couldn’t believe he did something so stupid.
I’ve been in situations like this before, and I knew he was being sincere and not just trying to get himself out of trouble. I forgave him. He was a good guy who made a very big mistake. Ordinarily, I would have asked my brother to kick his butt and written him off, but in this case, I felt forgiveness was warranted. This was very unusual for me, as I’m not normally a forgiving person. In time, we were back to our old selves. We had to be alone on a few work related occasions, but he never made a pass or said anything inappropriate ever again. This ended very differently than most of these situations.”
The Aunt Had Other Plans In Mind

“I was at my cousin’s wedding, which frankly, was a huge mess to begin with. We had gone to his house the night before and enjoyed a bachelor party, which turned into an all-night party. I slept only for a couple of hours before we all had to get up and go to the wedding. The ceremony itself was very nice and very happy. The reception began immediately afterwards. We were all located in a nice hall with an open bar and great food. We had a great time getting wasted, all of us at one table together, which separated us form the less wild crowds. There was about one hundred people across two families, including many non-relative friends, all with different personality types.
Now my aunt started to come over and hang out at our party table. She quickly becomes wasted, and other people from the family wander over to us too because we were the wild bunch. They were starting to crowd the table, and I got my cousin in on the merriment too. He was laughing his butt off, so I asked him what was so funny. He told me, ‘I knew you would do this. This family is usually so uptight and proper. I told my wife before the wedding started that once you and your group got here, they wouldn’t be able to help themselves.’
As we all got to the end of the evening, my aunt sat on my lap. She leaned in and whispered, ‘I spilled some bubbly on myself, so I ran to the bathroom to dry it up. Just so you know, I took my panties off just now. We can do it right now. Nobody will know.’
I threw her off my lap. Technically, she was a long-time family friend that I called my aunt, but it was still disgusting. I shouted, ‘What on earth is wrong with you?!’
I walked away and kept this event to myself until the very next day, because I didn’t want myself or anyone to do or say something stupid and ruin the whole wedding party. The next morning, I aired it out with my family, and everyone was totally disgusted by it. We did all get a good laugh in about how completely deranged she was. She didn’t want to come near me after that, which was a relief in my mind. I will never forget how uncomfortable I was that night, and how excited she seemed about that messed up situation.”
