When Percy met Danielle, things were going fine for a while. But, after their relationship ended, things quickly spiraled out of hand and Percy was forced to involve law enforcement. Read as Percy recounts her time with an ex-girlfriend.
Percy And Danielle Hit It Off

Our heroine (let’s call her Percy) met a woman named Danielle several years ago. She shared the horrifying story of being what came out of that relationship.
This is her story:
It was one of those moments people rarely believe happen in real life. Percy and Danielle hit it off almost immediately; they got coffee and spent hours talking. Danielle was one of those 40-something women who managed to remain untouched by age. But, she was also really funny, sensitive, and kind.
Percy’s in her mid-30s and likes both men and women, but knew at the time that she would be a bad girlfriend. She and Danielle had been flirting for a few hours already, so she wanted to make it clear that to Danielle that she wouldn’t have been the best girlfriend.
However, things really started escalating. Percy kept in contact with Danielle and before she knew it, text messages and talking turned into visits to Danielle’s hometown. The very first time Percy stayed, Danielle, made it clear that she had feelings for her. Despite Percy’s initial hesitation, she knew that she had feelings too. Everything was very new to her, but the two were crushing on each other.
Even though Percy had the Honey Nut Feelios, she told Danielle that she wanted a platonic relationship. Danielle seemed to be onboard taking things slow.
Things Started Escalating…

They spent more time together and things were getting more serious. They continued to fly out to each other, Percy even considered moving out there if things kept going as well. That never happened.
Percy isn’t the best at managing conflicts. She had a bit of a rough upbringing and didn’t like to argue with anyone. So, when things went downhill, she wasn’t prepared for it.
The relationship had been going well for a few months, but it doesn’t take much to know when your partner is shutting down. Percy started to pick up on the signals, but Danielle usually fluffed it off as being nothing.
Things got worse. A week after Danielle’s standoffish behavior, Percy woke up to 16 missed calls. At first, she thought that something was wrong, so she called her back and asked what was wrong. Danielle told her that she wanted to talk to Percy about her day. Why didn’t she answer? It was 6:00 a.m. when Percy woke up, so she had been asleep. Danielle thought Percy was ignoring her and she was determined to get her on the phone. But, after 16 missed calls, she gave up because clearly Percy “doesn’t love me enough.”
Things Just Kept Getting Worse

At first, Percy was upset but wound up apologizing.
But, things just kept getting worse.
Danielle was picking apart everything she said. Whenever Percy tried to express that she needed space, Danielle bombarded her with questions. “Don’t you want me to be happy?” “Why are you being so cold?” “You clearly lied when you said you had feelings for me.”
Percy finally snapped and tried to end things. She was mainly expecting Danielle to be angry or sad, but she was hysterical. She begged, sobbed, and sent gifts and flowers to try and get her to stay. She managed to convince Percy to remain with her. Obviously, the relationship turned into a dumpster fire once more and Percy left again, quickly. When Danielle tried to reconcile for the second time, Percy refused.
Danielle’s behavior only worsened.
It Began With Emails

22 emails in the span of three hours. Texts and phone calls came in, sometimes at 3:00 a.m. Percy tried to reason that if she ignored her, Danielle would eventually get the message and give up. But, the texts didn’t stop. Neither did the phone calls. Danielle was calling so much that Percy’s inbox got full in the span of 48 hours. Danielle was sending presents and flowers once more, and those didn’t stop getting sent either.
Well, as we know, Percy isn’t the best at handling these situations. So, she contacted Danielle. She told her that it wasn’t healthy to keep doing this, apologized for hurting her, and apologized again for not being better for her. This plan went exactly as you’d expect. Danielle sent literally 100 texts, which ranged from “I love you,” to “Why do you enjoy hurting me?” to “I hate you, you ruined my life.” Once Percy blocked her number, Danielle started emailing. Percy blocked her there, too.
Phone calls and texts then started coming to Percy from unknown numbers. Emails were being sent from unfamiliar addresses. Whenever Percy blocks one, another one replaced it. She sent, “DO NOT CONTACT ME AGAIN” to Danielle and changed her number and email.
Danielle then moved to social media. She messaged her hundreds of times, so Percy closed her social media accounts.
Danielle then found Percy’s new number and email.
Cue Percy’s Terrible Problem-solving Skills…

She decided that since it had been almost six months of harassment, Danielle must really be upset. She reached out to her and let her know that keeping in contact wasn’t good for either of them and since so much time has passed, Danielle was sure to be understanding.
Bad idea. After a few weeks, Percy had to change her phone number and email address again.
Six months later, a flower delivery came to her apartment, but the sender was requesting that Percy meet them in the lobby. Since she wasn’t home at the time, she told them to leave the flowers in the office and she’d pick them up tomorrow. When Percy returned the next day, there were no flowers. She let it go. 3:00 a.m. the next morning, someone was laying on her apartment buzzer. They were pressing it so much that she muted the alarm and went back to bed. When she woke up, she saw a note on her door that said, “Why didn’t you let me in?” She thought someone got the wrong apartment and ignored it.
A few weeks later, Percy’s friend called and asked if she’d been on Danielle’s social media lately. She also asked if Percy was aware of the fact that Danielle was in town. So, Percy checked Danielle’s accounts. Her Instagram was loaded with photos of “inspirational quotes” along the lines of, “If you love them, never let them go,” and “You’re beautiful because you fight for what you love and cross boundaries to make people mad but do it with an open heart.” These quotes were accompanied by photos of Percy’s apartment building. There were photos of the inside of the building. There was a photo of her front door.
“Goodbye.”

Danielle once again found Percy’s new number and email. And, once again, she bombarded them with text messages and emails that soared into the hundreds.
Percy finally took the advice of her loved ones and filed for a restraining order. She contacted lawyers and police. A file was made, but Percy requested that Danielle not be charged because she didn’t want to hurt Danielle or make anything messy for her back home, where Danielle had two children. She sent one final text to Danielle that read: “If you do not stop contacting me, I will file a restraining order. The paperwork is ready to go. Do not contact me. Do not contact my family. Do not come to my building. Do not message me online. Goodbye.”
Danielle sent another barrage of text messages, emails, and phone calls in the span of 50 minutes. But, after that, she stopped. Percy hasn’t heard from her since.
