Dry skin is inevitable when the cold winter months roll around. It makes for an itchy and ashy mess that we all hate. While there are some beauty products on the market that will solve your dry skin woes, these do-it-yourself facial masks are even better and a lot less costly.
Coconut Mask

Coconut oil is excellent for soothing your dry skin. Mix together 2 tablespoons virgin coconut oil, 1 inch of a ripe banana and 3 drops of frankincense essential oil, which helps regenerate cells. Place the mask on your face and leave on for 20 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.
Mayonnaise And Baby Oil Mask

This mask is quick and easy to make, although it may sound a little weird to put baby oil and mayonnaise on your face. This mixture can also be used for dry skin all over your body, not just your face. Mix together 2 tablespoons real mayonnaise with 1 teaspoon baby oil. Rub on all your dry areas and leave on for 20 minutes.
Avocado And Honey

While yes, avocados make our beloved guacamole, they also make an excellent face mask for dry skin. Avocados contain a lot of oils that help nourish the skin (this is also why they're so high in calories.) All you need is 1/2 avocado and 1/4 cup honey. Mix the two together, apply to the skin and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse off and your face will be as good as new!
Coffee Facial

A coffee mask?! Yes, it can be used for more than waking up in the morning. The coffee mask softens your skin and helps restore moisture too. Combine 2 tablespoons of ground coffee beans, 2 tablespoons coffee powder, 3 tablespoons of milk and 1 tablespoon of honey. Smooth it across your face and leave on for 30 minutes before washing off.
Banana, Honey And Oatmeal Mask

Of course these three ingredients would make one good bowl of oatmeal, but they're also excellent for a face mask. Combine 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup oatmeal and 1 tablespoon of honey. Mash the banana and mix in the oatmeal and honey, then add water until it's a creamy consistency. Apply onto your skin and leave on for 15 minutes.
Oat Bran Mask

This Oat Bran Mask contains things you probably already have in your pantry. Whenever your skin is feeling a little dry, just grab these ingredients from your pantry and you'll have a face mask in no time. Combine together 1 tablespoon oat bran, 1 tablespoon yogurt, 1 tablespoon honey and 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Rub on your face and leave on for 10 minutes before cleaning it off.
Cucumber And Sour Cream

Cucumber masks are excellent for both dry skin and oily skin! While you may think combining cucumber and sour cream may be a little weird, it works! You'll need to mix together 4 tablespoons of mashed cucumber and 2 tablespoons of sour cream. Apply the mixture onto your dry skin and leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing off.
Papaya And Strawberry Mask

This papaya and strawberry mask is not only great for your skin, but it also smells amazing! To make this face mask combine 2 large strawberries, 1 cooked peach, 1/2 ripe papaya, 1 teaspoon honey and 1 tablespoon oatmeal. Place the fruit and honey into a bowl and mix well. Then mix in the oatmeal to create a paste. Rub it on your face and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes.
Tofu And Honey Mask

While this also sounds like something you could eat, it works well for your dry skin. All you need is tofu, honey, flour and water. Crush the tofu, mix with honey, add a pinch of flour and water and mix until it turns into a paste. Apply to your face and let sit for 15 minutes.
Milk Mask

Milk is not only a good source of calcium, but it's great for your dry skin too. Your skin will be rejuvenated and fresh in no time. Mix together 3 tablespoons of 2% milk, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 tablespoon honey. Massage gently onto your face and let sit for about 20 minutes. Place slices of cucumbers over your eyes for extra hydration and relax.
Turmeric Face Mask

Turmeric may not be something you have lying around, but it's easy to find. Mix together 2 tablespoons flour, 1 teaspoon turmeric, a few drops of honey and 3 tablespoons milk. Apply the mask on your face and let sit for 20 minutes.
Brown Sugar Scrub

Brown sugar is a wonderful exfoliant for all skin types. You'll need to combine 1/2 cup honey, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 teaspoon of your favorite essential oil. Gently rub and massage the scrub onto the face to remove any dead skin. Rinse with warm water when you're done!
Honey And Epsom Salt Mask

These two ingredients together are unstoppable. They get rid of bacteria and dead skin and moisturize your face. Mix together 2 tablespoons of honey with 2 tablespoons of epsom salt. Apply to your skin and leave on for 30 minutes.
Carrot And Avocado Mask

This carrot and avocado mask is full of antioxidants and agents that will bring moisture to your dry skin. They also help to fight aging properties! Mix together 1 peeled carrot, 1/2 avocado, 1 tablespoon honey, 1/2 tablespoon olive oil and 1 egg yolk. Mash together the carrot with avocado and then mix together with other ingredients. Keep on your face for 15 minutes.
Dark Chocolate Face Mask

Dark chocolate not only tastes good, but the cocoa is great for adding moisture to your dry skin. To make the mask combine 1 bar of dark chocolate, 3 tablespoon salt and 1 cup milk. Mix the salt and milk together and then add the melted chocolate. Apply to your face and let sit for 15 to 20 minutes.
