Bottles of alcohol are great when they're full, but once you've emptied them you shouldn't just throw it away! Empty bottles are the perfect material for tons of fun and useful craft projects. Try these tricks to easily turn your trash into beautiful treasures.
Chalk It Up
Using chalk board paint on your old booze bottles is a really fun and creative decorating piece. You can write whatever you want on it easily, and change the words or design at your whim.
Marbelous!
Your old wine bottle can still be the center of attention even when it’s been emptied. Hot glue glass flat marbles onto the bottle and add some leaves to the neck to create the appearance of grapes.
Cut It Out
You’ll have to be sure you know how to cut bottles safely, but once you do then you can cut along a bottles base to create a modern-looking vase. Your friends will never know it used to be a wine bottle!
Candle Holders
Your old wine bottles can easily become great candle holders. Melt the bottom of the candle slightly to make it stick to the neck and you’re all set.
Washi’d Out
Washi tape is one of the best craft supplies out there. You can use it to easily pretty up an old bottle and turn it into a cute vase.
Bright Idea
You can even turn an old bottle into a new lamp! Use parts from an old lamp that you don’t like anymore to replace the body with a bottle.
Get Creative
You can draw designs onto your old booze bottles to make them eye-catching decorative pieces. Nail polish is a great way paint to use, or you can use Sharpie markers.
Reusable Cork
Instead of throwing away your wine corks, turn them into reuable bottle stoppers. Find some drawer pullers that you like and attach them to the top of your old cork.
Bottle Cap Tabletop
You’ll have to do some collecting with your friends to get enough bottle caps, but you can use them to decorate a unique table. This is a great project for you and some friends that is sure to get noticed.
DIY Tumblers
Remove the necks of your bottles entirely to have some great tumblers. Be sure you’re safe about this, though, and cut the glass carefully. Then sand down the edges with sandpaper or an emery board.
Corky Stamps
Your old corks can easily be changed into custom stamps with just a sharpie and an X-Acto knife. Draw the pattern you want onto the top of the cork and then cut out everything but that design with the knife. Then just press it into an inkpad and you’re all done!
Coast To Coast
Turn your bottle caps into DIY coasters for all your new drinks! Glue the caps to a piece of felt, cork, or just directly together.
Twine Bottle
Wrap your old bottles in twine or yarn for a cute decorative vase. Glue in sections from the bottom up and then wrap the yarn or twine around as you go up.
