Who doesn't love a good vacation? But traveling to your destination by plane or car can be a tragic distatser for your style. Between sleeping, talking, and eating in a crammed and stuffy place, chances are your face will come off and your hair will be a mess by the time you arrive. Pack these beauty essentials and you will have a chic and problem free traveling experience.

BB Cream

If you’re going to be in a stuffy car or plane for an extended period of time bb cream is going to save your skin! BB cream is a mix between moisturizer, foundation, and sunscreen. Because it is light it won’t look cakey but will still offer coverage. You can easily reapply before you reach your destination. If you’re taking a plane make sure the bottle adheres to the airport liquid requirements.

Highlighter

Hate that tired just got out of a car look? Fix it instantly with highlighter. It gives you a quick refreshed look. Just apply it to the bridge of your nose, center of your forehead, and upper cheeks for a wide-awake look. If you don’t want to splurge on highlighter, light colored cream eye shadow works just the same.

Concealer

After hours of moving around and sleeping, some of your makeup is bound to come off exposing blemishes or under-eye bags. Pack a little tube of concealer in your purse or carry-on for a quick fix. Concealer can also work as highlighter if it is a few shades lighter than your natural skin tone.

Hairspray

Sometimes the bedhead look can be really sexy, other times not so much. If you slaved away on your hair before your trip, save all your hard work with a travel sized bottle hairspray. Make sure to reapply the hairspray in the bathroom so you don’t annoy your fellow passengers with the smell or accidently spray them.

Lip Balm

This is a must for long trips. After sleeping, eating, drinking, and talking your lips are going to be dry and chapped. Applying lip balm multiple times through out the trip with make your lips luscious and smooth. Try a tinted lip stain if you want a little color.

Perfume

By the time you check your bags, go through security, get on the plane, and arrive at your destination the delicious perfume your sprayed on in the morning will have faded. That’s why it’s always smart to have a travel-sized bottle of your favorite scent in your purse. Travel sized bottles are usually crazy cheap, and sometimes you even get them for free with the purchase of a fragrance.

Deodorant

Cars and airplanes aren’t well ventilated. Don’t start off your vacation with smelly pit stains. Make sure you freshen up in the bathroom with a small deodorant applicator to avoid an embarrassing moment later.

Sunscreen

This is a must for car trips and vacations. You might not think the sun can do much harm through the tinted windows, but guess what, it can. Apply sunscreen to your face, at least. It’s always smart to have a baby-sized sunscreen in your purse because you never know what you will be doing.

Dry Shampoo

Sadly, that beautiful blowout you did before you left is going to be flatter than a pancake after traveling. Give your hairdo a revamp with a little dry shampoo. Spray a little on the roots and tousle with your fingers for some much needed volume. Check your local beauty supply store for a travel size bottle because your big spray can isn’t making it past security.

Makeup Remover Wipes

Two words – raccoon eyes. After a nice snooze chances are, you messed up your eye makeup. Remover wipes are the ideal way to fix this. You can just swipe them under your eyes to get rid of the excess makeup without ruining your whole look. They also work if you just want a new fresh start.
