A man shared an altercation he had with airplane staff on social media. The comments section quickly turned on him, with many poking fun at his behavior.
Kobe Peter “Twoey King” Nguyen, who goes by Kobe.Pickleball on Instagram posts a broad range of content. One of his most recent reels quickly amassed over 250k views, and comments have since been limited.
The video appears to show Nguyen outside the toilet on an airplane. “I was actually sitting on the toilet, and you were opening the door,” he tells a staff member. He apologized, but she snapped back, “You can keep saying you’re sorry, but I care about all these passengers.”
The argument allegedly started after flight attendants realized Nguyen was vaping in the cubicle, per the New York Post. The altercation escalates, and the passenger claims he has a lawyer. Shortly after, he declares that he is, in fact, a lawyer himself.
“I have 25,000 followers. I have 25,000 followers that are going to watch this,” he proudly exclaims. He continues to berate airline staff, saying, “You do not get to touch a passenger. And I was in the restroom.” Nguyen then threatens to call the police when they land. He keeps repeating, “You do not get to put your hands on a customer,” to which the staff member calmly replies, “I hear you.”
The back and forth continues for some time, and the poster eventually accuses the airline worker of assaulting him. He then tells nearby passengers, who seem eager to keep out of it, that he was assaulted. The video ends shortly after airline staff tell him to sit down.
Commenters Weigh In On The Airplane Argument
Comments on the video are limited, but there are still hundreds of replies, almost unanimously blasting Nguyen’s behavior. One reply reads, “What a sorry attempt to portray yourself as a victim. Stop Vaping in the airplane, case closed.” Another says, “So… you were breaking the law & instead of taking accountability you just berated a woman doing her job?”
Other commenters take issue with his claims. “”I have a lawyer. I AM a lawyer” lmao. No dude you play pickleball.” one reply reads. Another takes aim at his follower count. “”I hAvE 25 thOusAnD foLlOwErs” is probably the most pathetic thing you can say in a situation like this, like who even cares?” they wrote.
It’s unclear if anything happened when the plane landed. The New York Post points out that vaping on a plane can lead to a $1,771 fine.
