A former Disney princess recalled a time she refused to take a photo with a guest. Her story went viral on TikTok, quickly amassing hundreds of thousands of views.
Katrina used to be a theme park performer and played Rapunzel in Disney World. She posted a video captioned, “Disney Character Storytime… The time I had to refuse photos with a Guest because of the inappropriate tattoos they had of the Princesses! So yucky, so gross!”
Katrina explains that she was 19 years old at the time and was Rapunzel in a part of the park which has since been rebuilt. “A man came in during our firework set,” the actress recalls, clarifying there is no line to see princesses during the display. The guest allegedly approached Katrina and wanted to show her his tattoo. She obliged, noting that it wasn’t an unusual request. “He shows me on his arm, and it’s a, risque to say the least, photo of Rapunzel with only her hair covering her bits. And some suggestive adult things going on,” Katrina explained.
The actress claims the man had similar tattoos of other Disney princesses. She reveals that the guest then asked her, “Can I have a hug?” She firmly refused. He allegedly asked for just a photo next, which Katrina also refused.
The Guest Reportedly Approached Other Disney Princesses
The former Disney princess explains that the man moved on to another princess and tried the same thing. She called over an attendant out of character while a manager was requested. “This dude was pissed,” Katrina exclaimed. “This dude was like, not understanding why we were not so psyched to see him.” She admits, “I don’t know what he thought would happen.”
When the manager arrived, he was allegedly surprised that the guest had even gotten into the park with his tattoos on show. They gave the guest a voucher and told them to get a long-sleeved shirt and change into it. If they didn’t, security would escort them from the park. It’s unclear if the guest stayed on site.
Disney parks have an oddly specific dress code, but it makes sense considering the environment. One woman recently went viral on TikTok, revealing clothing rules from the official code of conduct. She explained that entering the parks in full costume is prohibited for anyone over 12. Long flowing clothes are banned as they pose a safety risk, and the rules even stipulate that risque tattoos are not allowed and must be covered.
