Have you ever wondered what you would get up to if you started sleepwalking? Well, one woman discovered her own nocturnal activities thanks to an unexplained DoorDash charge and a visitor caught on her Ring Camera.
Per a report by Newsweek, Miranda Knowles from Nanaimo, British Columbia, ordered $8 worth of food after midnight. The issue is that she had no recollection of doing so or what she had purchased. She also had no idea where whatever she bought ended up. Miranda has a TikTok channel, @onewithwater. She posted her door camera footage, which explained everything.
Miranda captioned the video “Apologies to the dasher who delivered a single sauce to my door at 1am 💀🙏🏼.” She explains in text on the video, “POV you doordashed a single honey mustard sauce while sleepwalking at 12:43 am for $8.” The footage has gone viral on social media with over 4.5 million views.
The comments section is full of users chiming in on the situation, with many sparing a thought for the deliveryman. One comment, with over 80k likes, reads, “He probably went home and thought about that for a while.” Another says, “I hope he sees this and gets closure.” One TikTok user claims they have delivered items before and shared one of their own experiences. “One girl ordered 2 monsters on a Saturday morning. Just those. Tipped $8. I know she was HURTING 😂,” they said.
Another TikTok user claims they did something similar, but have no excuse as they were fully awake at the time. “I did this with ranch dip but I wasn’t sleep walking I just forgot to add to cart the actual pizza,” they recalled.
Miranda Has Dealt With Sleepwalking Since She Was A Child
Miranda told Newsweek that she has been a sleepwalker her entire life. She claims it happens often as well, usually multiple times per month. Miranda clarified, “I have cleaned, put Christmas decorations away, crafted items, prepared food, bathed, and done laundry. Nothing too crazy, but I can get a lot done while asleep.” She reveals that her husband is used to her sleepwalking adventures and says she’s recently ordered a few regular items from DoorDash. Miranda joked, “I do like A&W honey mustard, but I’m not sure why I would order it alone!”
