Beyoncé is a legendary pop star with millions of fans worldwide who would leap at the chance to see her perform live. The ‘Crazy in Love’ singer ran into a snag during a concert on the weekend when a mechanical prop failed. She was suspended above the crowd but handled the situation like a pro.
According to People, the mishap occurred on Saturday night at the NRG Stadium in Houston. Beyoncé sang her song “16 Carriages” while riding a flying car in the air above the crowd. However, the platform came to a halt at an awkward angle, forcing the Texas Hold’ Em singer to pause and say “stop stop stop stop.”
One fan posted a clip of the malfunction on their TikTok profile, @stillunjadeddd. They captioned the video, “Omg she scared me so glad she’s safe and nothing happened! SOMEBODY GETTING FIREDDDD” The music stops, but Beyoncé takes the situation in her stride as the crowd cheers. She smiles and thanks the audience as her tilting platform is lowered to the ground.
It remains unclear what caused the technical fault.
