Authorities have arrested Brian Johnson, better known by his nickname ‘Liver King’ after challenging Joe Rogan to a fight in a bizarre string of recordings on social media.
According to a report by the New York Post, police arrested the influencer for making ‘terroristic threats’ after traveling to Rogan’s home state. The outlet explains that he was booked into Travis County Jail on Tuesday around 8:30 PM.
Liver King, who was allegedly forced to admit he uses steroids to maintain his physique, flooded his Instagram page with strange videos. He calls out Joe Rogan in several unhinged clips, including one where he appears to be armed.
Johnson addresses the camera shirtless, holding a gun in each hand. He’s also wearing a wolf headdress. He says, “Joe Rogan, I’m picking a fight with you. I’m calling you out. My name is Liver King. Man to man.” He continues, “I have no training in Jujitsu; you’re a black belt; you should dismantle me.” He taunts Rogan, saying he will change his weight and will come to him whenever he is ready.” Then he dances, holding a pair of rifles.
Strangely, a video of police seating Johnson in a cop car was also posted to his Instagram page. In an updated report, the New York Post explains that law enforcement contacted Joe Rogan. He “stated he had never had any interaction with Johnson and considered the posts to be threatening.” Per TMZ, Rogan reportedly told police he did not know why Liver King would be targeting him. He allegedly told them Johnson has a “significant drug issue.” The outlet reveals Rogan also said he “appears to be significantly unstable and seems like he needs help.”
Authorities Released Liver King On Bond
The New York Post cites online records showing authorities released Brian Johnson on a $20,000 bond. Police reportedly ordered him to have a mental evaluation within the week. He was also told not to have any contact with Rogan or his family and not to possess any firearms.
In his most recent video on Instagram, Johnson mentions Rogan’s name before correcting himself with “some guy.” Rogan has not yet addressed the situation publically.
