There are countless stories about actors and celebrities who fall out of the spotlight and vanish into obscurity. However, despite a list of controversies and troubling allegations, one actor has decided it’s time for another shot at the spotlight.
Ezra Miller is most well-known for his role as the Flash. He played the part in Zack Snyder’s Justice League in 2017 and The Flash in 2023. It’s not his only movie character, either. According to Hollywood Reporter, multiple controversies led to Miller’s being recast for the animated show Invincible.
Miller reportedly attended the Cannes Film Festival in May of this year. He said he was there to support Lynne Ramsay’s new movie, Die My Love. The pair worked together on 2011’s psychological thriller We Need to Talk About Kevin.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower actor spoke to Italian outlet Lo Speciale Giornale in an interview. He explained, “I came to Cannes to support one of my closest friends in the world who is Lynne Ramsay. Who I think is one of the greatest living filmmakers. I’m working with her again, that will likely be the first thing I do, is a film that her and I are writing together.” He added that he has spent a lot of time writing recently, as that’s something he can do alone.
Miller Reveals How Past Controversies Have Affected Him
During the interview, Miller says, “If I still believe anything in my life, it’s devotion to one’s people. To one’s loved ones, to one’s friends, to one’s comrades above all else.” He admits he had a tough time going to the festival. “It’s not an easy re-entry,” he exclaimed. “But I would do anything for Lynne,” he added.
The actor spoke candidly about the last few years. “Not that I don’t hold a lot of remorse and lamentation for a lot of things that I did and for a lot of things that happened in that time. But I’m really grateful for the lessons that came with that abyss.”
