A woman has reportedly suffered from sinus problems for seven years. She went to the doctors who diagnosed her condition and believes it all started after her ex-boyfriend unleashed a toxic fart.
Christine Connell is very active on social media and shared the tale with her 67k TikTok followers. Her story has since gone viral, with over 440,000 views.
“Today, I realized that my ex-boyfriend got the best possible breakup revenge that anyone could ever get,” Connell explains. “We dated like seven years ago. And I’ve had a persistent sinus infection ever since he and I stayed in a hotel one night after I had surgery.” She reveals that her ex “farted terribly.” She added, “I couldn’t breathe. I’ve never ever ever. It’s not even anything that compares to that.”
Connell says that she has undergone multiple medical tests. “Doctors haven’t been able to figure it out, and it’s e-coli,” she exclaims.
Connell Is Convinced She Got E-Coli From Her Ex-Boyfriend’s Flatulence
“You don’t usually get e-coli in your sinuses because e-coli is from poop,” Connell explains. But based on the timeline, she is convinced that she contracted the infections from her ex-boyfriend’s terrible toots. “How does that get near your sinuses unless you have a boyfriend who farts disgustingly, and you are forced to inhale it because you are immobile after ankle surgery?” She asks.
Per the Cleveland Clinic, e-coli is a group of bacteria that can cause infections. Most of the time, it lives in your gut without harming you. However, ‘some strains can make you sick with watery diarrhea, vomiting and a fever.’
Unfortunately, Connell posted an update about her e-Coli infection, saying her treatment isn’t working, which means she may require surgery. She explained, “I think it’s to the point where I’m going to need surgery. It’s not a lot of cutting or anything. But they are going to use general anesthesia to go up there and physically scrape off where the bacteria has been.”
Connell has also replied to several questions about her infection in separate videos. Some commenters mention it’s unlikely she got e-coli from a fart. In a recent post, she explained, “I can’t think of how I would have gotten it besides my friend farting in my face. I don’t know. Maybe I’m just susceptible to e-coli.” She stresses that tests at the hospital do not suggest any immune issues.
