If fashion and beauty trends really do repeat every 20 years, then we’re due for another update.
The 90’s had their stay in this decade: velvet scrunchies and crop tops, brown lipstick, smokey eyeliner, and chokers.

Now it’s the 2000’s turn. Hello, blue eyeshadow, over-plucked eyebrows, butterfly clips, and dark lip liner.

But the people kicking off this fashion rerun are not from the catwalk. Nope, they’re just your average teens playing around on a video app called ‘TikTok’, where users can record anything from lip syncing videos to comedy and share them with anyone.
Fashion source Allure cites that teens have been uploading videos almost like makeup tutorials, where the user “transforms” into a cool 2000s kid to the tune of Britney Spears’ iconic bop “Oops!…I Did It Again”.
They can be pretty fun to watch.
