Taylor Swift never goes out of style!
According to her latest Instagram Live video, the 29-year-old pop star announced to her doting Swifties that she is collaborating with British designer Stella McCartney to produce a clothing line inspired by the album she’s currently working on, Lover. The album is set to be released on August 23.
Swift streamed this important message last week, adding that McCartney has “been a friend for a really long time. There’s so much whimsy and imagination and romance to the clothing that she designs.”
Fans have spotted Swift on the streets and the stage flashing McCartney pieces before, and the star also shouts-out the British designer in February for the elegant dress she wore to the British Academy Film Awards.
Swift let McCartney have an early sneak peek at her new music for design ideas, explaining, “She’s heard the new album, and this new collaboration is inspired by the Lover album.”
Although she didn’t give away too many details, Swift hinted at Lover’s overall dreamy, romantic mood with political undertones. She’s shared her stances on social media before, recently releasing on her Facebook page a letter she wrote to her state senator to support the Equality Act, which bans discrimination based on orientation and gender identity.
From the look of her album cover and previous McCartney pieces, I think we’ll be seeing some pastel rainbows and tie-dye prints. What do you think this new line will feature? Will you be flaunting it in August? Share your opinions in the comments below!
