Chrissy Teigen is basically the most relatable person we have ever seen.
Chrissy Teigen was recently on an episode of Ellen and if she hasn’t proved for the 2,000,000th time that she’s the most relatable celebrity, then I don’t know what will do it.
She walked out and spoke briefly about Ellen’s 60th birthday party, which she said was like “the Oscars, the Grammy’s, the Emmy’s all in one gorgeous tent.” Degeneres pulled up photos that Teigen and her husband, John Legend, took in the photo booth at the party.
Teigen admitted that she, like many of us, has a “too mean face” and wasn’t sure how to pose properly when she took a photo with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
The conversation quickly turned to talking about Teigen obviously needing to stay sober given that she’s pregnant with her second child. “I’m having a baby boy in the spring. I’ll tell you: it’s June,” Teigen said. When Degeneres asked if she had a name for him yet, Teigen replied no because “boy names are really tough.” She added that she doubts he’ll even have a middle name since she and Legend haven’t decided on a first name yet.
Though, Degeneres did lovingly suggest naming the baby “Lunar” since Teigen’s daughter is named Luna. But, the helpful name suggestions didn’t stop there! Degeneres then recommended “Urban,” to create Urban Legend (if you don’t think that’s the coolest name ever then please exit the building).
“I’ve been toying with ‘Dick Legend’ a lot,” Teigen said while laughing. “Can I say that?” to which Degeneres replied, “You can say that just don’t name him that.” (Fair enough.)
She added that some people have suggested maybe naming him John Jr. and having him go by JJ, but Teigen said, “But John and his ego, he said, ‘Well I don’t want him to feel like he has to live up to that,’ and I was like, ‘Wow you’re a jerk.'”
The two then quickly talked about how Teigen hasn’t seen Selma even though Legend won an Oscar for the song “Glory.” She said the movie leans a little on the heavy side for her movie tastes and that you need to be in the mood to watch something like that.
“[Legend] hasn’t read my cookbook. He doesn’t watch Lip Sync Battles… he does actually.”
Between wanting to name her child inappropriate things, not knowing how to pose with Kanye, and taking small shots at her husband, Teigen is basically the most relatable person we know. Keep your eyes peeled and be sure to revisit us in June when Teigen has her second baby!
