The only problem was, the contour and highlight sticks aren’t very big, which means the product runs out fairly quickly. Disaster. And at $48 a kit, those of us who need more highlight or more contour had to buy a whole new kit just to replenish one of the products. Well, Kim’s finally fixing that situation, as KKW Beauty is about to release individual contour and highlight sticks.
The Creme Contour and Creme Highlight individual sticks are set to go for $18 a piece, with the first launch dated February 16. It’s a relatively reasonable price tag for the individual stick, but it should be noted that while the Creme Contour Kit sticks are two-sided, offering two options for both contour and highlight, it looks like these sticks are one-sided, and I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that there won’t be a ton of product included. But since it’s just a one-sided stick, hopefully there’s a bit more included than what we got from one side of the kit’s stick.
That said, it’s still good news that we’re getting the option to purchase individual items. I bought the original contour kit sometime around when it launched last year. I really liked it. It’s creamy, blends well, and it didn’t break me out. But this round face used up the contour stick much more quickly than it did the highlight. I actually still have plenty of the highlight stick left, but ended up switching to another brand when it came time to purchase a new contour stick. I’m willing to spend a bit extra for a product I like, but I just couldn’t bring myself to shell out another almost fifty dollars when I knew I’d only use one-third of the kit. (The kit also comes with a brush/blender stick). So this update from KKW Beauty is great news.
There are eight different contour colors to choose from, meant for skin tones ranging from fair to dark/deep dark. There are also eight different highlights to choose from, four mattes and four shimmers.
