Mandy Moore is living through an incredible romance on and offset.
Mandy Moore has recently picked up a lot of steam in her acting career by donning Rebecca on the hit series This Is Us. While she may be a shining example of relationship goals on television, Moore has an adorable real-life romance that she’s living too.
Two years ago, Moore posted a photo on Instagram of her listening to a band called Dawes. Her now-fiance — and lead singer of Dawes — Taylor Goldsmith saw the post and reached out to Moore. In an interview with People, she said, “I took a picture of their album and posted it on Instagram. Somehow, Taylor saw it and sent a note to me. We started emailing back and forth, then we went on a date and the rest is history. Thanks, Instagram, for helping me meet my fiancé!”
Of course with Moore and Goldsmith having such packed schedules, the two couldn’t spend as much time together in the beginning as they wanted to. Moore told People that she and Goldsmith FaceTimed a lot and “fell in love before we’d even really held hands or kissed or anything. It was great.”
The couple got engaged in September 2017.
They kept things quiet at first because Moore was finalizing her divorce to Ryan Adams.
“We’ve had our fair share of challenges in life that we’ve weathered and it’s made us stronger,” Moore said in an interview with Us Weekly in 2017. “He’s incredibly supportive and incredibly proud of me, as I am of him. I just found a true equal in every sense of the word. He’s my favorite person on the planet. And we have so much fun, no matter where we are or what we’re doing.”
She said that she wants to keep the wedding small and she is definitely thinking about having children. “We’re definitely not in a rush. I think it will happen sooner than later, but I don’t feel pressure in any sense,” she added.
