Rumors of a worldwide tour began circulating after an Instagram post of a Spice Girls reunion.
After nearly two decades, the Spice Girls finally might be giving us all what we want, what we really, really want — a reunion tour.
Speculation of a reunion began circulating when Mel B posted a photo to Instagram with her fellow Spice Girls Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Melanie C.
“These amazing women have helped me become who I am, so to all the girls out there remember ‘friendship never ends’!!!! Boom #spicegirls #coloursoftheword #wantwereallyreallywant #mumsworkinghard #blastoff,” the singer captioned the photo. The group’s former manager, Simon Fuller, was also at the reunion.
The British girl group formed in 1994 and took the world by storm two years later when their debut single “Wannabe” topped the charts in 37 countries. Their first album, Spice, became the best-selling album by an all-female group in history, selling more than 31 copies worldwide. The group went on an indefinite hiatus in 2000, and the world has been sadly spiceless ever since.
“We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching up and reminiscing about the amazing ties we have spent together,” the group said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for the Spice Girls. The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together.”
And although nothing has been officially announced, TMZ reports those “incredible new opportunities” are likely to include a tour spanning the U.S. and U.K. This would be their second reunion tour after their “The Return of the Spice Girls” world tour in 2007-2008.
Spice Girls fans are losing their minds about the rumors. Twitter user @tatianalexandre tweeted, “I NEED TO LOAN A LOAD OF MONEY FROM THE BANK AND BOOK THE MORNING TICKETS COME OUT OFF WORK.”
@brrriitttnnii tweeted, “Logs onto eBay. Purchases overly large white platform sneakers, 1996 Adidas snap away track suit.“

But don’t get too carried away, Spicey fans — according to the TMZ report, there are no rumors of the group recording new music or obtaining a Vegas residency. But that doesn’t mean we can’t hope for new bops by Sporty, Ginger, Posh, Baby and Scary.
