The tweet met its goal in under five hours.

David Harbour is quickly closing in on Ryan Reynolds for the title of Twitter King. Over the last few months, the Stranger Things actor promised to take senior yearbook photos with a fan and promised another fan he would officiate a wedding. And now thanks to Twitter, he is going to dance with penguins.

It all started when Harbour tweeted at environmental organization Greenpeace. “Hey @Greenpeace, how many retweets to send me someplace to tell emperor penguin couples I think they have terrific parenting ideologies? Perhaps hone the Hopper dance with the males…”

Greenpeace replied, giving Harbour the challenge of getting over 200,000 retweets. As a reward, he’d get his opportunity to teach the penguins the internet famous “Hopper dance” he does in Stranger Things.

Hmm, if you get over 200k we’ll ask the Captain if you can join our expedition to the Antarctic and dance with the penguins. #StrangerThings have happened https://t.co/qT78aIcKOw pic.twitter.com/LmmLceE17J

Harbour retweeted the challenge, pleading, “Internet, listen… I’m a giver. I give and I give. But now I need you. I need 200k retweets to go dance with penguins. Please internet. Please retweet THIS TWEET. Please. A man needs his ‘guins.”

The internet didn’t let him down. In less than five hours, Harbour reached his 200,000 goal.

“I’m a little shaky n sweaty, Heart pounding… Internet… I think I love you,” Harbour said in a tweet.

Greenpeace tweeted back officially inviting Harbour to come to Antarctica next month, promising, “The ‘guins are here waiting for you. Fernando, the chief mate at Greenpeace, even signed off on the posted video by doing the Hopper dance.

Well, @DavidKHarbour, chief mate Fernando just made it official. Get your dancing shoes on, because you'll be heading to the Antarctic in no time.

“Fernando, thanks for protecting vital unheralded ecosystems in super cold places and everything but please leave the dancing to the professionals… If you’ll excuse me. I gotta get some snow pants,” Harbour tweeted.

The Happy Feet cast has nothing on the mad dance skills Harbour is about to teach these ‘guins.
