We all have those nights where we just want to stay in.
Face it. We’ve all been there. We’ve all made grandiose plans to go out on the town with our friends, only to make the last-minute decision to stay in, turn on an Amanda Bynes movie, and eat way too much popcorn. And while turning down a Golden Globes after-party invite to stay in might be a little different, that is exactly what Jennifer Lawrence did. The relatable celebrity was halfway through getting ready for the Golden Globes festivities, when Emma Stone, who was supposed to be her date/plus-one, messaged JLaw to tell her that she didn’t want to go anymore.
When Stone arrived at Lawrence’s home, she subsequently took this hilarious video of her, and Lawrence later posted it on her Facebook page. In it, Lawrence describes the unfolding of that night’s events.
“Hi, what happened tonight?” Stone asks Lawrence. At first, only one half of her face is exposed to the camera. Lawrence has a cheeky smirk on her face. It looks as though she’s hiding something.
“Well, you had told me you wanted me to be your date to the after parties so I, you know, got us tickets to some after parties, booked a car, and I was halfway through glam when you told me you didn’t wanna go. You just wanted to come over to my house, so I sent my hair and makeup team home, and now this is what I look like.”
Lawrence then turns to face the camera, and hilarity ensued. Take a look for yourself.
JLaw turns to the camera and breaks into laughter, exposing a half made-up face. And we couldn’t help but crack up with her.

Knowing Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence, we’re almost positive that they must share many moments like this together. Or at least we’d like to imagine. Either way, their friendship is pretty adorable.
