The November 'Play by Sephora' box, contained some great products that can work for anyone!
If you were not aware, Sephora has their own monthly subscription box, Play By Sephora, that showcases some of their best products. The box is about $10 per month and consists of six mini high-end products that usually retail at a higher value – so this box is a great way to try before you buy!
The November box consisted of many versatile products that can come in handy for literally anyone.
– ORIGINS Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores: (Get the Full Size for $27)
– SEPHORA COLLECTION Ultra Shine Lip Gel: (Get the Full Size for $12)
– MARC JACOBS BEAUTY Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara: (Get the Full Size for $26)
– BURBERRY My Burberry Blush: (Get the Full Size for $90)
– MOROCCANOIL Moroccanoil Treatment: (Get the Full Size for $34)
– CAUDALIE Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum: (Get the Full Size for $49)
In the video, I emphasized how much I loved the Origins Charcoal Mask and how it was my favorite product in the box.
As someone who has combination skin and semi-noticeable pores, I really feel like the charcoal mask helped out my skin tremendously. Plus, it’s kind of fun to do face masks and scare your friends a little bit when they aren’t aware of what you’re doing. The results with the mask left my skin feeling healthy and my pores feeling cleared of toxins. My favorite way to use this is by removing any excess makeup with Micellar water. From there, I apply the Origins Charcoal Mask and let it do its magic for around 10-15 minutes. Then I take a damp washcloth and remove the mask, leaving my skin feeling brighter and clearer.
The Ultra Shine Lip Gel in the color Perfect Nude was the perfect gloss to layer on top of any lipstick or tinted lip balm.
And the consistency of the formula was great! I hate putting on certain glosses and feeling like my lips are super tacky and sticky – not a good look or feel. I would be interested in trying other Sephora glosses, maybe some in greater pigmentation.
The Marc Jacobs mascara was good in the formula, however, the only problem I had was the price at $26.
If it was my ‘holy grail’ mascara, then yes, I would definitely consider buying the full size. But I think it would be a nice mascara to gift to someone or at least ask someone at Sephora for a sample of.
The My Burberry Blush perfume was the perfect fragrance for any day wear.
The only major downside to this was looking up the full-size price and seeing $90 in front of my eyes. I mean it’s a pretty perfume, but $90? The 1.0 fluid ounce retails at $68 and the rollerball retails at $29. It’s a bit outrageous in price, but if you’re looking for a pretty scent for a special someone in your life, this would make the perfect holiday or birthday present.
Moroccan Oil is great for adding that extra shine to your hair.
It can also be used after washing your hair to lock in that moisture and give a lustrous look to your hair.
The Caudalie Thirst Quenching Serum gave my skin a bit of hydration, but it wasn’t doing that much for me.
Like I usually say, “I’m just going to stick to my Cerave Moisturizer.”
Overall, I think that these products are great and could work for anyone.
And while Sephora may only give out sample sizes, I find it convenient for on-the-go or when traveling – You don’t have to worry about bulk-sized products.
I would recommend to anyone who wants to test out some new makeup products to look into trying out one of the Sephora subscription boxes. It’s really opened my eyes to what new products are out there or even rediscovering my love for products I used to use.
