These 'lashes' are so terrifying but, somehow, it's just too hard to not look at!
There is a lot of creativity all over Instagram, especially among the likes of makeup artists who use their social media accounts to show off their work. But some of the makeup looks appear to be painful, like the Blinged Out Eye Look we have previously mentioned.
And the latest in ‘Instagram creations’ is making us cringe out of the sheer pain that could potentially happen if you followed this trend.
We bring to your attention – ‘Needle Lashes’.
Milan Bauranov is the man behind the ‘Needle Lashes’. He’s also an Architecture student, so that could be a key component in how his designs are so perfectly crafted.
If you take a look at his Instagram feed, you will see his clean-cut, yet edgy-looking makeup images.
Milan actually spoke to Allure about why he takes a more alternative approach to his makeup looks and said, “I always try to translate a certain emotion through my looks to the viewer. Sometimes complex emotions can be expressed only by unconventional methods.”
When talking about the photo of the ‘Needle Lashes’, he explained that the caption “looking for trouble” was the reaction that most had, making them understand his own concept with the image.
“I believe that art is in the reaction, not the intention, but it’s always exciting when the two align.”
According to Milan, it took him only 30 minutes and the experience was actually not painful at all, as he made sure to place the needles in safe positions on the lid.
I must admit, at first glance, I was cringing so hard at the photo and thought, “I could never do this!” I mean, if I was doing this to myself, I would for sure poke myself in the eye and regret even attempting to create the look.
So props to Milan for being brave and producing such a unique design! When it comes down to it, this photo and many other makeup images are serving the purpose of artistic expression – and I think we can all appreciate that!
