By Christina Muscarella
November 3, 2017

The 'Mean Girls' eyeshadow palette is finally here! And the colors are amazing!

Earlier this summer, we mentioned how Storybook Cosmetics was coming out with a Mean Girls-inspired eyeshadow palette, arriving in the fall of 2017.

Well, the time has finally come, because the Burn Book Palette is officially here!

The palette was released on a Wednesday, so our prediction of the day of release was right! Score!

It should be noted that you can’t actually purchase the palette in store! You have to go to Storybook Cosmetic’s website, to order the $55 palette. But, there’s a minor catch, unless you prefer to buy in bulk…

Due to the high demand of the palette, Storybook Cosmetics limits 3 palettes per order at check out.

The names of the colors, stay true to the quotes and keywords in the ‘Mean Girls’ movie.

Some of our favorite names are- October 3rd (dark grey), Wednesday (hot pink), So Fetch (orange), Glen Coco (light brown), and more!

While the palette was just made available online, some beauty influencers have already gotten their hands on the Burn Book palette!

Jeffree Star, Laura Lee, Alissa Ashley, and JKissaMakeup, are some of the lucky YouTubers who have already tried out the eyeshadows and they have some opinions…

Alissa Ashley

Alissa was a huge fan of the matte eyeshadows, but also liked some of the shimmers, especially the green shade, called ‘Grool’.

“The colors look intimidating, but when you play with it, you can see that the colors definitely have potential.”

Jeffree Star

Jeffree used 7 out of the 12 shades, to create a full glam look.

“The maroon shade, ‘She Doesn’t Even Go Here’, blended really cute in the crease.”

And as a Mean Girls fan, he loved the idea of the palette. But, he did mention that those who are not fans of the movie, might not want to pay the price for the colors.

As someone who had used the Harry Potter palette from Storybook Cosmetics, Jeffree was appreciative of the continuity of the brand in their quality.

“The consistency is there. The formula is there.”

He gave the palette a 9 out of 10 stars, making it ‘Jeffree Star Approved’.

JkissaMakeup

Youtuber, JkissaMakeup, was very happy with the Burn Book palette.

She loved the ‘Grool’ eyeshadow but noticed a difference between that shade with the rest of the shimmers.

“I wish that all of the shimmers were the same formula as ‘Grool’, because it is such an eye-catching and unique formula.”

She really loved the shades that were provided in the palette, saying that most of them swatched very well and that she could see herself using this palette a lot!

Laura Lee

Laura Lee tested out the eyeshadows, creating a vibrant pink look. She had never previously used a palette from Storybook Cosmetics. But after using the Burn Book palette, she was impressed!

“Overall the colors performed really well, especially their matte eyeshadows. The matte eyeshadows have a wild amount of pigment and they blended out, nicely.”

So it seems that these influencers were overall pleased, with the ‘Mean Girls’ eyeshadow palette.

Time to add this to our holiday wishlist!
