Not every 'trend' is a real thing, but some people beg to differ.
If we’ve learned anything this year, it’s that people still can’t take a joke.
And that’s exactly what happened when one woman tried out the joke trend going around, that is ‘Nose-Hair Extensions’.
Trying out the next Beauty Trend… NOSE HAIR EXTENSIONS & it’s everything 😂😂😂 Would you wear it out?! 😂😂😂 Lashes: @eylureofficial Lipstick: @jeffreestarcosmetics #nosehair #nosehairextensions #weirdbeautytrend #beautytrend #hudabeauty #makeuptutorial #maketuts #makeuptutorialsx0x #allmodernmakeupPosted by Sophie Hannah on Sunday, October 8, 2017
Youtuber and Beauty Blogger, Sophie Hannah Richardson, decided to humor her audience by trying out the ridiculous ‘trend’ floating around social media. She stuck fake eyelashes up her nostrils.
It’s not meant to be a real trend, it’s just a play on eyelash extensions. But some people didn’t find the humor in the video, and instead lashed out at her (no pun intended) in the comment section of her video post.
Proof that the Internet does not understand humor…
A YouTuber filmed a reaction video!
“What if you gotta sneeze?”
“Can she breathe?”
“What if you gotta blow your nose?”
Sophie actually shared the Instagram video, saying: “OMG this is brilliant! This guy cracks me up.”
Sophie spoke to Mirror UK about her take on the video and how she thought it was crazy.
“I saw an article about how nose hairs were the new trend. I hadn’t seen any tutorial videos so I just thought ‘why not? After I posted it a lot of people were taking it quite seriously, which was funny.”
She also addressed one of the more judgmental comments, that she received from a stranger.
“One woman even said I’ll never get married or have a house or child.”
Ironically, Sophie just so happens to be engaged to her longtime partner, Robin.
While Sophie doesn’t think of Nose-Hair Extensions becoming an actual trend, she’s at least found humor in the responses from people believing it, and getting angry about something so harmless.
I mean, life is stressful enough, a light-hearted joke like this is purely for entertainment.
