This incredible cosplayer killed it with emulating some of these iconic Disney princes!
Wow! This guy knows how to dress for the part!
International cosplayer, Jonathan Stryker dedicated a full week of his life to dressing up as iconic Disney princes. And the outcome is incredible!
According to Buzzfeed, Stryker has been cosplaying for the past 10 years.
So it’s safe to say that he’s a professional at this point!
Aladdin – ‘Aladdin’
Stryker started off the week, as Aladdin, saying: “Aladdin was probably one of the first movies I ever saw as a kid.”
He’s even got the front piece of hair on point! Dang!
But How Long Do These Looks Take To Complete?
Stryker said it can take up to 20 hours to finish the entire look, from head to toe.
He makes the costumes and props all by himself, has mad makeup skills, and is craft when it comes to styling wigs.
Prince Eric – ‘The Little Mermaid’
This day was the perfect day to transform into Prince Eric, the heartthrob from the Little Mermaid.
This one is probably one of my favorites that he’s created! The whole look is amazing and easy on the eyes and a lot of Instagram users agree.
One commenter said: “I’d sell my voice, to be honest.”
Another said: “I always wanted to marry Eric when I was a little girl, well guess I still do.”
Kuzco – ‘The Emperor’s New Groove’
Kuzco from The Emperor’s New Groove (before Kuzco turned into a llama).
Stryker even created the jewelry pieces himself- impressive!
If you’ve ever seen this movie, you’ll remember Kuzco as an egotistical prince that takes things for granted. That is until he drinks a potion that turns him into a llama. The movie teaches its audience about self-growth and self-improvement. A perfect life lesson and great character to dress up as!
Milo – ‘Atlantis’
Taking it back to the movie Atlantis: The Lost Empire, with the main character, Milo.
Stryker described Milo as his favorite Disney nerd and how he loved how the movie dealt with the underwater world.
“I saw this movie for the first time in elementary school. I love anything that deals with water so I fell in love with it.”
Those glasses though…
Flynn Rider – ‘Tangled’
Stryker’s Disney crush is Flynn Rider from the movie Tangled.
For this look, Stryker said he focused less on the outfit, and more on the makeup.
“I really paid attention to the makeup for this one. The bumpy long lose, facial hair, rosy cheeks, etc. I’m a makeup noob but I’m learning a lot with these.”
And people appreciated the hard work he put into this look, commenting things like “You knock my socks off. Your level of detail is outstanding” and “Gotta love the SMOLDER! LOL! Great work as always!!!”
Tarzan – ‘The Legend of Tarzan’
Everyone’s jungle favorite and iconic wild man, Tarzan!
Stryker mentions a particular scene in the movie, that always gets to him.
“The scene where his mom takes him to the treehouse and he chooses to leave and tells her, ‘No matter where I go, you’ll always be my mother’.” Same Stryker, same!
Even though this look requires minimal clothing, he’s still got the whole Tarzan look down and looks great!
Hercules – ‘Hercules’
Dressing as the heroic Hercules, Stryker described how special the character was to him.
“Exactly one year ago I met someone very special to me that would later help me understand who I truly am, much like Hercules in his quest to become a hero. And like with Megara, I’ll forever have a place in my heart for this person.”
Simba – ‘The Lion King’
The classic movie, The Lion King, focuses on the power of love, friendship and figuring out who you are. And while there isn’t technically a ‘human’ prince in the movie, Simba is the main character that experiences personal growth and self-discovery as he grows up from cub to lion.
To Stryker, he feels a sense of confidence in a lion.
“It is a symbol of confidence and empowerment. The lion is sure of itself, it knows it’s the king without having to compare itself with anything else.”
Jonathan Stryker really does go all out! And his hard work and detailed efforts do not go unnoticed.
Not only does Stryker cosplay as Disney princes, but he’s also shared more photos as Cartoon Network characters: Mojo Jojo from Powerpuff Girls, Mandark from Dexter’s Laboratory, and more!
