Just a few weeks ago, 69 year old, Maye Musk strutted the runways of New York Fashion Week.
And as of yesterday, Maye Musk has officially announced that she’s the new face of CoverGirl!
Today CoverGirl, Tomorrow The World!
Maye Musk broke the wonderful news in an announcement post on her Instagram page.
“I’m so excited to say that I’m now officially a COVERGIRL! My three kids, ten grandchildren and I have had the hardest time trying to keep it a secret until today’s big announcement.”
She also praised CoverGirl for their diversity and how beauty is for women of every age.
“Who knew, after many years of admiring the gorgeous COVERGIRL models, that I would be one at 69 years of age? It just shows, never give up. Thank you COVERGIRL, for including me in your tribe of diversity. Beauty truly is for women of all ages, and I can’t wait to take you all along this amazing journey with me!”
This Woman Is Unstoppable!
According to Musk, she began her modeling journey when she was just 15 years old, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
She also got a degree in Dietetics, had 3 children, and got her Master’s degree in Science, all while furthering her modeling career.
At the age of 42, Maye Musk made the move from South Africa to Canada to model with Elite Modeling Agency, in Toronto. While in Toronto, she obtained a second Master’s degree in Nutritional Science.
She then became a registered dietitian in Canada and the United States, which eventually led to some incredible speaking opportunities around the world. Musk traveled all over giving tips on health and wellness, at various speaking engagements.
By age 50, Musk was in New York, taking on major modeling campaigns and expanding her modeling career.
At 68, she signed with IMG Worldwide and even attended her first Met Gala event.
Maye Musk is the quintessential example that beauty has no age and that no matter how old you are, you can do anything!
For all that she’s accomplished, she’s proven that women can achieve anything that they set their mind to.
