One girl's eye-makeup creations may be too edgy to try and too painful to look at, but it's hard to not stare at!
For makeup lovers, it’s always fascinating when new trends come out and beauty YouTubers share their opinions on their first impressions of new products.
But right now, one girl is notably changing up the eye makeup game, by adding bling!
A woman by the name of Sofie Petersen has one of the most interesting makeup-related Instagram accounts out there.
Petersen is an 18-year-old, currently residing in Denmark and has a passion for creating intricate looks that look a bit dangerous. As you can see, she’s attached a gold chain on the waterline of her eye, with added mascara. And it’s gaining attention and concern. Metal on the eye like that seems like it could be a bit painful, no? Or at the very least, uncomfortable.
Allure talked with Petersen about why she’s created these wild looks and her idea for the waterline bling.
She mentioned her lack of interest in her usual eyeshadow palettes, while bored during her summer break. And that boredom resulted in her cutting a piece off of a gold necklace she owned.
“I instantly got the idea when I saw it and the size and thickness were made for my waterline!”
So Petersen laid the chain on her waterline and then quickly snapped a photo before it fell off.
Okay, so we can all calm down. She didn’t glue the chain to her waterline…thank goodness!
But, Petersen did decide to speak out about negative commenters, she comes across on her Instagram posts.
“I just don’t understand how someone who doesn’t know me at all can get so offended about something I put on my eye — my eye, my choices. I just think it’s cool if I made them feel something, whether it’s hurting their eyes or pleasing their eyes.”
We also found some other Instagram users who blinged out their eye makeup.
While those looks are more acceptable, in certain situations, they still don’t compare to the rest of Petersen’s eccentric creations.
She also steps outside of the box by sticking random objects to her eye looks!

I will say, she does a great job at making a viewer feel something, just with the way she’s dressed up her eye. That’s pretty crazy!
We will give her props for being so unique with her artistic creation! It’s refreshing to see makeup looks on Instagram that stray away from the stereotypical “Instagram Girl Makeup” look.
