Just when we thought that colored mascara was enough of a ‘wild’ look for parties and raves, we are introduced to the idea of LED Light-Up Eyelashes!
Tien Pham is a designer who came up with these light up lashes, which he has called F. Lashes. This idea was so well received that even his mother has found out about his ‘not-so-secret’ project, Tiem adds in a Facebook post.

In Tiem’s FAQ section on his Facebook Page, he shares just how these lashes work. “You put them on with regular eyelash glue. It literally takes about 2 minutes to put on. They are powered by a watch battery that is rechargeable and will last up to 4 hours. I wanted to keep them lightweight because the controller is attached to the back of your head by hair clips. There ARE thin wires that connect to each eyelash, but they are nearly invisible unless someone is close to you.” And the F. Lashes are interactive; They have a sparkle and dance mode which is perfect for the club!

F. Lashes were showcased on the weekend of May 19-21, 2017, at the Bay Area Maker Faire. This event is described by Maker Faire as “an event for all ages. It is at Maker Faire that different creators show what they have made and share what they have learned.” It became such a hit that Tiem has received an Editor’s Choice award at the event, for his ‘LIT’ product.

The only way they can create more of these lashes is by having their own Kickstarter. Tiem mentioned on Facebook, that the Kickstarter will become available sometime in July. But in the meantime, we can all sign up at their website to stay up to date on when the LED F. Lashes become available!
