Use This One Tip To Avoid Smudging Your Nail Art With A Top Coat

After hours of trying, you were finally able to recreate the cute nail art design you saw on Pinterest that you've been dying to try for months. The cheetah print spots are on fleek and you're low-key amazed by your artistic talent. You go to paint your top coat and all your hard work is brushed away with one stroke. Tears start to stream down your face at the loss. Seriously, is there anything worse than a ruined manicure?! Well, yeah, but it's still pretty bad.

Don't worry, with this one simple trick, you'll never have to worry about smudging your nail art again. When you're venturing into the challenging territory of nail art, there are a few things to remember before it even comes time for the topcoat. Between each layer of nail polish you apply (the base color and the cheetah print dots) you should wait at least two minutes to avoid any smudging. Once all of the color and designs are applied, you should make sure to wait as long as possible before applying the topcoat.Try to wait at least 30 minutes, but if you're in a rush, make sure to give it at least 10 minutes.

You should always use a fast drying top coat on your nails because the fast drying formulas are good at getting through the extra layers of polish to fully dry them. When you take the top coat brush out of the bottle, wipe one side off and dab the other side once to remove any extra polish. Take the brush and gently glide the top coat over your nail art making sure the brush does not touch the nail. Only the top coat polish should touch the nail as to not smudge your nail art. If your nail art is still smudging, chances are the your top coat is the problem. Make sure you have a good brand that is not expired.

Your cute nail art will always stay intact, ready for you to show it off!
