13 Dishes That Make Ramen Gourmet

By Minq Team

Because of how inexpensive and easy-to-prepare they are, Ramen noodles have a reputation of being a meal not to get excited about. But these versatile noodles can actually be turned into a number of super delicious meals that you'd never expect. Read on to turn those last-resort packets into a meal you can't wait to eat up.

Spicy Macaroni and Cheese

Add some paprika or chili powder to the noodles, but don’t add the seasoning packet that comes with them. A shredded cheese blend makes the dish creamy and delicious.

Crunchy Ramen Trail Mix

You can quickly turn this meal into a grab-n-go snack.  Break uncooked ramen into small pieces.  Place on a baking sheet with chex, pretzels, and nuts. Coat the mixture with oil then add your favorite spices.  If you want spicy trail mix try curry powder and cayenne pepper. Bake for 10 minutes, let it cool, and enjoy!

Asian Ramen Coleslaw

In a bowl, combine small pieces of uncooked ramen, coleslaw mix, sliced almonds, sesame seeds, and asian sesame dressing. Mix the ingredients together and let is sit overnight or until the ramen isn’t as crunchy. Then enjoy! No one will even know this fancy coleslaw was made with ramen!

Ramen Omelette

Yep, you can mix ramen with your breakfast foods too!  Cook the ramen noodles as directed and drain.  Make an omelette with your favorite ingredients, like cheese, tomatoes, bacon, or peppers, then simply add the noodles. Once you feast on this you won’t want a normal omelette every again!

Ramen Burger

Get rid of the bun and use Ramen noodles that have been slightly toasted in a pan. When you toast the noodles after they are boiled, they will hold together. Make sure you form them into a circle or square before putting the hamburger together.

Peanut Ramen Noodle Salad

Prepare the noodles as directed, then add peanut sauce and cocktail shrimp. You can also add a few slivers of almonds and shredded lettuce.

Noodle and Fish Tacos

This is something that both children and adults will usually enjoy. Start with crunchy taco shells. Add noodles first, and top with any kind of fish. A small amount of tartar sauce can be used for flavor.

Grilled Cheese

Form the cooked noodles into a square and lightly toast the square in a pan. Create a grilled cheese sandwich with the noodles as the bread.

Shrimp and Guacamole Bowl

Blend guacamole with the noodles as well as slices of red peppers for a brilliant color contrast. Cocktail shrimp is added to the noodles as well.

Noodle Pizza Casserole

Combine the noodles with pizza sauce, shredded cheese and pepperoni in a casserole dish. Bake until the cheese is completely melted.

Asian Meatball Soup

Incorporate small meatballs and a blend of soy and teriyaki sauce to the noodles. Add a small salad on the side for a refreshing meal.

Coconut Curry Shrimp

Combine coconut milk and flour to make a gravy that will coat the noodles. Add large pieces of tempura shrimp to the noodles.

Chicken Ramen

Instead of chicken noodle soup in a can, use the Ramen noodles and large pieces of chicken that you boil. Chicken tenders that are cut in smaller pieces are ideal for this dish. Add a grilled cheese sandwich on the side for a hearty winter meal.

Vegetable Primavera

You can add almost any kind of noodles to this dish that you like. Red and green peppers and baby carrots are beautiful in the dish. Squeeze a bit of lemon juice on the noodles for a twist.

Asian Noodles With Beef

This is similar to the Chinese noodles that you would find at a restaurant. Add soy sauce or another Asian sauce that you like along with diced peppers, carrots and shrimp.

Cabbage Salad

Shred small pieces of cabbage, adding them to cooked noodles. Add a small amount of butter plus any kind of protein. Turkey or chicken works well with this dish.
