By Minq Team
Branislav Nenin

The days are still warm, and nothing could be better in the heat than ice cold popsicles. Kids have their favorites flavors but adults can also have some of their own. With these recipes you can add alcohol or not its up to you. They are great either way.

Lemon Pale Ale Poptail

The mellow taste of beer and the tart flavor of lemon make a popcicle you won’t forget. It only takes one fourth cup sugar, a cup pale ale, a third cup of lemon juice and mix together. Pour this mixture into popcicle molds and freeze six hours.

Kiwi Sangria Popcicle

A combination of white wine, white grape juice, sugar, and lemon juice. Put this into small paper cups add some chopped kiwi fruit and one raspberry each cup. Add popcicle stick to each cup and freeze well.

Margarita Poptails

Take peach and strawberry and lime pureeing each separately. Add in the tequila and then layer each fruit into the popcicle mold. To make it even more interesting you can add whip cream or creme fresh to one of the purees. This makes for a colorful and refreshing treat.

Strawberry Moscato

A creamy layer laced with an orange flavor alternates with a pureed strawberry layer. Stack these layers creating a striped appearances. This tasty popcicle treat is sweet from the fresh fruit.

Corona Limeade Popcicle

Using one cup of Corona, sugar, and lime juice whisk together then pour into molds. Freeze this for about 6 hours until firm. This is a delicious and tart treat to serve to adults. The alcohol will freeze because you do not use a lot of it.

Tequila Sunrise Poptails

Using pomegranate juice for its color and sweetness and orange juice for its tartness, mix with tequila and pour into plastic popcicle molds and then freeze. This is very good at a pool party or on movie night with friends. It also tastes great without the alcohol, so there’s an easy kids version.

Cherry Limeade With Vodka Poptail

Sweet and tart poptail with added vodka. Add some of the pitted cherries to freeze in the frozen treat. For variety mix in some whip cream and freeze.

Pineapple Jalapeno Popcicle

Icy cold sweetness with a spicy touch of jalapeno. The pineapple fruity taste blends well with the peppery jalapenos. Make some with or without any vodka.

Bananas Foster Popcicles

Place sliced bananas, butter, brown sugar and cinnamon in microwave. Stir and then add yogurt, milk, vanilla and rum extract. The brown sugar and butter bring out the banana taste and sweetness.

Papaya Breeze Poptail

Use fifty percent rose wine and fifty percent papaya pureed. Tropical fruits have a sweet satisfying flavor. Pour equal amounts of wine and papaya into popcicle molds and freeze well.

Coconut Apricot Cardamom Bourbon Poptail

A creamy coconut layer next to the sweet tartness of apricot frozen to perfection. This tropical fruit popcicle is an adult version not for kids. The bourbon that is added creates a strong flavor and balances the creaminess.
