11 Bad Habits You Need To Break Now

By Minq Team
Branislav Nenin

The little things that you do each day can wind up having a huge impact on your life. Be sure that you are setting yourself up for a full and happy life by noticing any of these common bad habits and working to break them as soon as possible.

Grazing All Day

Some people have taken into grazing the whole day in the belief that this will help them reduce weight or eat less. However, too much snacking on high caloric foods can undermine the body’s ability to burn fat. The best thing for your body is to stick to a solid meal schedule.

Using Your Phone In Bed

While many people will sleep by their phone or use it to text or browse the internet before falling asleep, it’s actually horrible for your sleeping pattern. The bright screen will keep you awake for a while even after you put your phone down. Try reading a book or listening to music instead of playing with your phone.

High Heels All The Time

Wearing high heels on daily basis can harm your body in many ways. It can put pressure on your joints, which can lead to tendon injuries, back pain and arthritis. High heels can also affect your posture, which can lead to heel related accidents. Be sure to give some time to your flats, and save the heels for special occasions only.

Overloading Your Purse

So many women are guilty of stuffing their purses with every little thing they might not, but it’s much better for you to only pack a few essentials. Carrying around too much stuff can lead to a number of long-term problems such as neck pain, back pain, poor posture and premature aging. Plus, it’s hard to find anything in a cluttered bag!

Saying Sorry Too Much

While there are definitely times when it is appropriate to apologize for something you’ve done, you should be sure that you aren’t doing it too much or unnecessarily. Not only is apologzing for insignificant things annoying, but it also makes you appear indecisive, weak, and submissive.

Slouching At Desk

When working, it is very important to sit with your hips as far from your desk as possible and your spine into the back of the seat to prevent slouching. Getting into the habit of slouching is hard to break, and it can lead to awful spine problems later in life, not to mention that it just looks bad.

Netflix Binging

While Netflix is a great tool for so many of us, it can also easily become a terrible addiction. Watching “just one more episode” can lead to unnecessarily late nights that impact your performance at work the next day. Plus, all those hours of inactivity are terrible for your body. Try to stick to just one or two hours of Netflix per day at the most.

Interrupting

This one is pretty obvious, but it’s a problem for so many people that it had to be included. Interrupting people is so rude and insensitive that it can end friendships. Be sure that you’re taking the time to actually listen to the person who is talking to you before you respond.

Not Sleeping

Whether it’s school, work, or late nights watching TV or hanging out with friends, it can become pretty easy to take sleeping off of your priorities list. When you make it a routine, lack of proper sleep can do serious harm to your body in the long-run. Some of the most common problems include the weakening of your immune system and exhaustion.

Listening To Loud Music

Research has shown that listening to loud music can interfere with your hearing ability and lead to hearing loss. The problem may get worse if you are using headphones for long periods.

Occasional Social Cig

You already know how bad regular smoking is, but smoking even a single cigarette in day can prevent the normal blood circulation, which may lead to the development of plaque in the blood vessels and arteries. Other problems include causing blood clot and damaging the life of non-smokers.
